Do you mean the game ended and you got disconnected and banned after victory/defeat? Based on your recent games, you completed your most recent BTB game, and what likely happened is that the DNFs you had before triggered your ban and it just activated as soon as you completed the next game. Sometimes when bans kick in, it does it so suddenly that it seems like you are getting disconnected from the game before itā€™s fully over, but thatā€™s not the case.

Ok. I just got back online and am still banned. The prompt read that I would only be banned for approximately three hours. Yet, nearly twenty-four hours later, I find that I am still banned. What should I do to resolve this issue?

JIP addressed in previous posts which verify what I stated to be true. If banā€™s are soo successful, then why donā€™t more devolopers follow suit? Reason: they are not and thus other companies do other things which seem to work better. I agree with you on them posting the ban hammer properly, but as I stated before they have no interest in fixing this part of the gameā€™s programming. Instead, they are focused on providing new wz content and working on the next installment in the series for which I probably will not be a part if the banhammer in itā€™s current state continues into the future.

Actually in reference to JIP as I stated (and as the link Chimera offered) showed it was always in warzone which at the time was the only unranked playlist and it was added to social playlists with Cartographerā€™s gift so the idea that you werenā€™t notified is nonsense.

The actions of other companies have no relevance to the ban thread, not does the success or failure of the ban system automatically mean that other companies will pick up the process as 343 did from Bungie. There is no way to actually chart the success or failure of the ban system in terms of reducing misconduct. However, some other games do have bans for misconduct and you agreed to abide by those rules set forth by 343 or have your license to play online temporarily revoked.

Do you know what the ā€˜ban hammer strikesā€™ message said, Iā€™ve looked at your recent history and you only have 1 DNF so it most likely wasnā€™t a quitting issue. Iā€™ve bookmarked the film and will watch it later to see if that sheds any light on the matter if it does so Iā€™ll edit this post to let you know.

A: Welcome to the company, I saw you joined yesterday.
B: First off Iā€™d try a hard reset of your xbox (either depress and hold the button on the front of the console or unplug it for a minute or so.)

the game said i was banned for 15 minutes but after 15 minutes was up, i was still banned, the reason i got banned was from leaving a game

What could have happened is that, because you left 3 games in a row, you triggered multiple bans, and only saw the notification for the 15 minute one. Not sure of that, but itā€™s a working theory.

Yea i waited about 40 more minutes and im unbanned now so that might have been the case, Thanks for the help

I was banned because a group of teammates were hopping around in front of my ghost trying to get me booted (I think it was because I was in first place) but I ended up splattering two of them while trying to get away, I got banned for a few hours. I hate trolls.

This is ridiculous I have have been banned for the second time since Saturday.Iā€™ve left 4 or 5 games idle for a few minutes. I understand me being banned for quitting or betarayelā€™s but I havenā€™t done that. Idling is listed as one of the matchmaking infractions that can lead to a ban: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/enter-the-arena. Idle detection is there to prevent players from doing nothing and reaping rewards, or for being easy targets for the enemy. It has to be sensitive for the good of the active players.
If you think situations are imminent that will take you away from being able to be active during play, the best thing to do is probably pause matchmaking until you know you arenā€™t expecting distractions. For instance, if I know Iā€™m getting food delivered, I donā€™t start up matchmaking so that I donā€™t have to step away from an active game to go answer the door.
Of course, sometimes emergencies come around and you have to go idle or quit. However, if itā€™s happening too often, you may need to re-evaluate when you are playing. As long as your DNFs are only occasionally and infrequent, you probably wonā€™t have to worry about a ban.

Also, please refrain from posting about bans outside of this ban thread.
