I did get one single betrayal earlier that day while playing grifball with friends as one of them boosted in front of me just as I hit an enemy with the hammer. If that would have caused this later that day, that would be even crazier. And between the first and second ban I didn’t even play a game, I only sat there waiting and chatting with my buddy who was going 1v2 in that doubles game as we were still in the same party. After the 15 minutes we queued up again and I get an immediate ban again.
I see people on here talk about their connection, mine is really stable and super fast, all wired, I never drop or lose connection, in any game, including Halo. It only happened this weekend when in a fire team and loading into a game. But not every time as I played a lot in a fire team earlier that weekend and there was no problem then. And I didn’t lose connection, was still in party chat, still on Xbox Live servers. All that happened is that Halo dropped me from the fire team for some strange reason. This should be EXTREMELY easy to determine for the ban system and make sure you don’t get banned for that. I clearly did not back out, dashboard, switch off or disconnect, everything was still running, including the game and I was still talking to my friends in party chat.

Usually I don’t get a prompt to kick when someone runs me over or kills me in a game. Which makes me mad, because I never team kill on purpose, and I don’t run people over in Warzone. I’ve actually never been banned for a long period of time, and never quit.
I’m sorry to hear about your ban, don’t know why you got got banned for just queuing a match. Maybe you’re being cursed by all those random disconnections I’ve heard people get.
If you miss the original ban message or forget the length of time that you got banned, is there somewhere that you can go to see how much time is remaining on your ban?

Unfortunaly No.

If you’ve been banned previously you can do a rough estimate by doubling the length of your previous ban though.
No it’s disturbing the you justify an imposed consequence for something that may be out of the control of the player. My last ban is because I was the last left on my team. Now please tell me why I should have to stay in that game. People leave, it sucks but it happens. it hurts stats, that’s enough incentive to not leave. Plus I’ve been doing this since half life and counter strike on 56k way back in the day… This is my first ban Ever!!! I find this lack of consideration on this unacceptable
I’m banned again why is 343 industries doing this so excessively?

Well, you do have 22 Dnf’s in the last 22 days.
Thank you for taking the time to post this!
I got banned yesterday and it told me my time was about 3 hours. Its been a day. Yes, I idled or quit more than once a day over the last couple of days so, my questions is: How do I find out how much time I have left on my ban?
Also, if you’ve taken the time to make an engine that forces to me finish the game when I don’t want to, (that I’m paying my own money for an internet connection and XBOX Live membership UH-HMMMM), or otherwise ban me, can you make space somewhere to display the remaining time of the ban?
I was in a game everthing normal, the BAM a swift boot from the game after I said I disconnected from my fire team without doing anything, this happened three times today and I got the bam hammer which is unfair, my friends have also been experiencing this as well so please fix this.

The standard fix for the fireteam glitch is hard resetting your xbox, making sure you only have one profile signed in, and are not set to appear off line. Try that first.
Reposting since it was apparently in the wrong thread.
So I’ll begin this post by saying that yes, I have been known to quit for the following reasons: anger, boredom, joining somebody else’s game, accidentally joining the wrong genre (instead of Arena, I joined Slayer).
Anyway, I had received a banhammer.
It said I had to wait for three hours. Alright, fair enough. I went to play Minecraft with my friend for a while. When I returned, the ban was still in place.
It had been three hours. Maybe even longer. Is it something wrong with my game/Xbox?
Am I just stupid?

You have two matches listed for today; one you completed and one you have a DNF from…so I’m assuming the issue is resolved.
I’ll hypothesize about what happened though; you have three back to back DNF’s yesterday. Due to the delay in the ban system enacting your ban it is possible you earned your ban with the ‘last straw’ match being the second of those DNFs. So after you failed to finish the third match you received the ‘banhammer strikes’ message for that ban…the system however realized that after you’ve been ‘banned’ you failed to finish a match and this issued another ‘ban’ and thus the two stacked. This is in part conjecture in my part however.
OK so now I had a couple of people leave and I don’t wanna be banned again and playing at this point would suck so I find a good spot to hide and go out for a smoke… I come back and guess what? I’m n another game getting spanked… So again I Will say “no more banning consequence for leaving a game!”. This is bad policy and gamers should not be treated this way.
Just another fine example of 343 not living up to their word. I had the same thing happen to me as well. Game said 46:42 ban. Came back over 6 hrs later and ban still in place. I have come to the conclusion that 343 really doesn’t seem to care about supporting nor making good on their promises anymore and unless things change soon, I doubt seriously that I will purchase the next installment of this franchise which is 2 bad b/c I’ve been a loyal halo supporter ever since Halo Combat Evolved.

A ban for 46:42, a ban under an hour? Or for literally 46 hours? I dunno man, I dunno.
Halo: Combat Evolved was released by Bungie in 2001, Halo 5 was released by 343i, in 2015. The Halo franchise from Bungie ended when Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary came out, and 343 Industries began when that game was made.
I’m glad you supported it since Bungie though, I sure did, and it was terribly sad to see it go.
A ban of 46:42 would be for 46 minutes, you can find details of how the timer works on the first page of this thread

Yes. I’ve understood that for over a year. I was banned for over 9 hrs when the ban said 46:42.
