1)Your ban come most likly from your DNFs.
2)Not quitting,if its comes from disconnects due your internet,open your Nat,make a hard reset,use wireconnection

Your last DNF is from Swat on mercy you had 10 deaths, no kills, no assists, nothing else going on stats wise. I have bookmarked the film and will try to remember to watch it this evening. I have a suspicion that you were idle (no controller input) for long enough during this match that the system kicked you and banned you for idling. If I remember to watch the match when I get home, I’ll update this post to either confirm or disaffirm my suspicions. If you remember what the “Banhammer strikes” message said that would hasten the process a bit.

Yep, you were idle through most of the match. If I had to guess that was the reason you were banned. You were idle for a period than ran around for about thirty seconds and then went idle again. For future reference Idling in matches is on the list of ban worthy offenses.

If you are quitting social gametypes, why on earth would they allow you to play ranked gametypes?

You can be banned from warzone. It does happen. I’m aware of several people who have been.

So, I just got hit by the banhammer. It’s only for a brief period but still annoys me as a server error and/or bad programming actually caused this.
I was playing swat with 3 friends and while loading it suddenly said left fireteam in a red screen before the game actually loaded. I even tried rejoin through one of my friends but it just said waiting to join game in progress. The next game I could load up normally, so no problem there, we played a couple more and I took a break. Next up I queued doubles with a friend, same thing happened, only this time when I hit join on my friend’s profile it said The ban hammer strikes.
I have never quit a game in my life, and clearly in these cases I haven’t either, the game wasn’t even loaded yet.
If this starts happening more often, please fix the underlying issue.
Edit: AAAAND it just happened again the next match we tried doubles. Now I’m the proud owner of a longer ban. That’s just great.

Never really had this before but it’s happened 3 times this weekend now while queuing with friends.
Even more annoying is that I now can’t continue in our all weekend community event that we had going.
I’ve had a lot of DNFs recently due to poor connection and I’m aware that this still warrants bans. Yesterday before I went offline at around 11pm I was given a 9 hour ban, and I thought fair enough even though its infection I’m going offline anyway so it doesn’t matter.
However I have just come back on the game over 9 hours after the message first appeared, and I am still banned but I cannot see a red message with a timer. I have tried hard resetting, signing out and in again, turning off my consoles wireless and quitting the build multiple times. Still no message, still banned.
Therefore I think my account might be glitched in some way and would like a moderator to check to see why I’m still banned and how long it will last. If the timer is correct from yesterday, the ban should have now expired but this is not the case.

Sorry to hear that. Now I personally have never experienced something like that, but I do know that the banhammer goes further than just quitting matches and excessive amounts of DNFs. Perhaps you killed teammates or anything else that would warrant a ban?
If not, then there may be a glitch in the system. Unfortunately, it is what it is.

Yes,its possibly to determine that,But its not in use because people would just pull out their router when they are losing and wouldnt get a punishment.
So if you quit by purpose or through connection,you will get banned.

No it’s impossible for the ban system to determine that. And no, I don’t think it’s just a switch that can be flicked to do that either. The system is how it is, if you disconnect from any match too many times for any reason. You will be hit with the ban hammer.

Well the Halo ban system cant determine it but there have been sucessfull tests by other companys,however it was cancacelled due the risk of missusing it.
