I think it’s a lot less than that. Because lately last 2 seasons, players that I know aren’t champion or barely even onyx, were very high rank. which I understand a person can get carried to high ranks by teammates, but it makes me wonder if a lot of ppl have already left, therefore making climbing the ladder easier due to lack of players.

So a match once unexpectedly quit and I was kicked. It was the first time I’ve “quit” in weeks. Then I got banned. Why? The GAME glitched and booted me!!!
I was at work so the specifics are not clear to me but my friend said he had quit a game and then it was banned it’s been over two hours tho. He did Not know about the ban system but I have since informed him. I would really like to know how long it will last

If this is his first ban or yours it’s usually just a couple of minutes, they tend to double each time. I’d say it was likely due to DNFs if it was the match after he quit one. The message has a timer when you receive it. I won’t go through your history to count since I’m not certain if it is the account your friend was playing on…however it takes more than one DNF to get a ban.
Question: Not saying that this has happened, but can you get banned for offences caused in unranked game types. By unranked I mean the two categories, being things such as Tank world and then the other being Warzone. While trying to fix an error with my Xbox booting me from game servers due to my router I would test to see if it was working in the Social Snipers game type. I disconnected about 5 games before I finally fixed this painful issue. I didn’t however get a ban, so I’m now curious; was this because it was classed as a server/disconnection error so I wasn’t banned, or can you just not get banned in the unranked game modes. Thanks for the help!

Well they probably got banned for being trolls anyway. Think about it, early this year about 20% of the population would try and team kill you if you had a nornfang in warzone, and about 5% would just kill you in slayer etc. for almost no reason. This is a very rare occurrence as of now, 343 really don’t abuse the ban hammer. If they want to wonder why they were banned, it’s probably because of frequent temporary bans for abusing others who enjoy playing the game. What you have to say is just blatant 343 hate because you don’t like them as much as Bungie, with no justified reason. I’m not a fanboy, I just find the people with such irrational viewpoints arrogant.

Yes. You can be banned for things you do in unranked games. If you don’t get a lot or a pattern of DNFs than a few occasional ones usually doesn’t resort in a ban.

Very few bans. Maybe 3 or 4 total.
And no I didn’t even get a message. I disconnected out of a game and I was banned from Arena and Warzone.
So I just shut it off and left the house lol

there is a way to see how long a current ban is I think. I think if you go to xbox.com and your profile and dig it might say something. I was reported once by some jerk and I was able to see how long my ban for multiplayer chat, etc. was.

I have been playing for over an hour now and haven’t stopped once then I get a connection lost message as I finish my match and I am banned for idle. can someone please explain this to me?
