Its an ingame message,it says why you got banned and the lenght of the ban.
It appears seconds after you get banned and disapear when you press any button.

The system cant make a diffrence between disconnects through connection and disconnects through the player.

No individual can ban you from Halo 5. The system can ban you for Afking, not finishing games, griefing or the like. If you remember what your ‘Banhammer strikes’ message said specifically then we could know for sure. I would say it was due to the 5 DNFs in your last twenty matches.
On another note Calling out is against forum rules, so you may want to remove that tag from your post.

I dont ban anyone,Im not responsible for the ban system,I only help here in this forum.
You got banned for DNFs in nearly every onlinegame,because it weaks your team,can be used to stop going negative,can be used as trollingvand ruins the experience in general.

I understand that. Just seems a little over the top considering nothing really ruins the experience more than not being able to play. But thank you for the help my ban is no longer active.
Just played match of doubles with my friend he is unranked and I am. I had to go abruptly so I quit but he played the match out and lost. He told me after he was banned, why would that be?? I’m trying to get him to play Halo and this is making him not want to
EDIT side note, he hasn’t played Halo 5 in months! And all the games we played today we didn’t quit any of them.

If he was banned it was due to something he did, not something you did. Since he isn’t present to ask, I don’t have access to his game history, I don’t know what the ‘Banhammer Strikes’ message said, and I can’t ask questions to clarify why he was banned. I can tell you that the most common reasons are griefing (betrayals, excessive suicides), AFKING, and failing to finish matches. If your friend would like to come on and provide some of that information we might be able to get to the bottom of things…
