I didn’t notice an excessive amount of DNFS in your history. What did the “Banhammer strikes” message actually say?

I assume from you using the phrase ‘accidents when trying to shoot other players’ you were banned for griefing (betrayals.) It is impossible for the system to differentiate between an intentional betrayal and an accidental betrayal, however the way the system currently works if an enemy has done damage to the player you betray it counts as a kill for them…so it would be extremely difficult to accidently betray outside of a poorly aimed rocket or a splatter.
As for the length of your ban, you haven’t played for very long so I’m assuming this is your first ban. The first couple of bans are very short (usually a few minutes.) Unfortunately, as far as I know there isn’t a way to view the length of your ban other than the initial ‘banhammer strikes’ message, but I suspect your ban is over now.

Seems to work just fine to me. I don’t quit, grief, afk, or the like and I don’t get banned. People who don’t follow the rules face the consequences of their actions in a progressive discipline system.

Can you describe what happens when you try to enter matchmaking? Perhaps provide a screenshot of what is going on?

As far as I know it is unscheduled, no statements from their twitter or the H5 XBL feed.
Played a game of team doubles, team mate quit. Game was really laggy, so I just killed myself to speed up the game. Next game, team mate quit again, game was laggy so I killed my self to speed up the game. Got a perm ban. That’s a bit unfair I think. See as thought I haven’t had a temp ban in months.

Hello i have halo 5 guardians I got a message saying one player in your fireteam is banned from playing halo 5. Over the last 3 days I will play one matched then banned for a whole day. So 1 match then banned all day for 3 days now. I will let me play warzone but not arena. I chatted with someone on line from xbox and they told me to post in here. I never had this problem before and i did not get any sort of ban hammer. So i dont know why are how long these bans will continue.

You are being banned for quittin/not finishing games. You have only played 187 games and you have quit/disconnected from 41 of those. They won’t reverse your ban and the bans will get longer. When your ban is over, I suggest not quitting.
