Hard resetting your console and making sure you aren’t set to appear offline usually clears up the fire team glitch.
When you are properly banned than it does run a game behind most of the time. I.E. You quit, grief, whatever and then play one more match. At the end of that match you are forcibly disconnected and you receive the banhammer message. If you don’t play for a match after you’ve earned the hammer you may get the message when you try to play again.

I lag out of games probably every one in ten. Since this happens so frequently it has accumulated the ban sequence and now I get banned just from lagging out that one time. It has gotten so bad that my bans are hours long. Frankly it does not make a whole lot of sense to me and honestly takes the fun out of the game when I can only play a few matches until I’m banned for the next few hours.
The community would appreciate additional tweeks on the banning service.

The Banhammer strikes message contained the length of your ban. As far as I know that is the only way to determine what length it was. Bans start off short and grow progressively longer with repeated offenses. If this was your first ban it is likely only going to last a few minutes.

You will have to watch my montage on YouTube when it comes out. There is no reason that a hard reset is required when my console had been powered on 7 minutes prior to entering into my first 12 man warzone lobby. Try as you might, 343 is DEFINITELY demonstrating poor server management and game coding. Keep sugar coating it.

I instructed the cat on what to do when the error occurred. It takes care of the problem most of the time. And no. I have no desire to watch your montage.

Only problem is there was no banhammer strikes message. But whenever I try to go play Warzone it says I’m banned for all 3 Warzone game types.

Ive been banned once (as far as I know), and my ban has lasted for over a week. I dont know what 343’s problem is but its driving me up a wall. Drop the -Yoinking!- ban hammer and let me play the dam game. If this isn’t resolved i’m never buying a 343 game ever again. waste of -Yoinking!- money

7of your last 20 are DNFs,also you dont get an one week ban when your only get banned once,so theres an possibility that you have been banned before and you dont know it,so patience will help you until the week is over.
Also raging /swearing isnt helpful,it only increase the risk of an heartattack.

The ban happened because my connection was spotty at the time and everytime i tried to play a game i would be the victim of intense lagging, i fixed the problem about a week later, havent touched the game since and figured it would be over by now. Its just extremely aggravating knowing the one or two times I was banned is due to something I didn’t have any control over. My reqs werent opening it would let me play but when i finished a game it wouldn’t give me any progress in exp. and then it started dropping games half way through I don’t think I should be banned for such ridiculousness. I don’t betray, I don’t stay idle. I finish every game even when i’m getting whooped hard (i actually like fighting back in a losing battle, its weird). And it says “yoink” so no harm done to anyone really

343i announced around release of the game that grounds for banning would include excessive disconnects; this is likely to prevent people from evading quit detection by forcibly disconnecting their consoles from the internet. It is also likely there to maintain quality multiplayer experience for the majority of players. If constant connection issues are troubling you, I suggest investigating your connection to see if there is anything you can change (some things, like living in another part of the world, can cause problems that you can’t really do anything about). I suggest the following steps:
Current ISP (is your ISP the only one in your area? Is it known to have issues connecting to Halo 5 servers?)
Up/down speeds (what does your ISP say it should be, and what does speedtest say it actually is?)
Ping & Packet loss (measure here, and note that you’ll need to update Flash Player and Java, and don’t use Chrome)
Latency with Microsoft Azure servers (probably where the Halo 5 servers are; you can check here, and you can also test up/down speeds to the Azure servers if you want)
