For whatever reason, I was banned from match making for no apparent reason. Ivery played about 6 matches on slayer and was boote after one match but no ban message appeared for the ban telling me the duration. I also did not betray, commit suicide, or idle. I’ve only left 1 match the entire time.

Why do you know that you got banned when theres no message.
At least they could decide to ban someone from the single playlist instead of the entire mode.

I didn’t know you can’t join in progress a ranked match, but talking of social playlists, I love to play Grifball and it’s awful how I’m almost forced to put the search preference on expanded, since I’m in Europe, just to find a match where my shots arrive with 0,400-1 second delay, it’s hard to deal with it, and this only because they seem incapable of writing a good working net-code.

Which would allow people to quit/grief habitually in Team Arena. Get banned for it. Switch to Team Slayer and do it again. When they get banned from that move to the next playlist. The idea of a progressive discipline system is to reduce the negative behavior, that would just spread it around.

You said griefing, unfortunately I think 343 banhammr system can’t always “see” when the griefing is in act, because as I’ve already said, when I got spawnkilled in griefball, the only thing I could do was to pray that someone of the Microsoft enforcement team give a -Yoink- of my reclaim, which I highly doubt will never happen for this reason.

If you betray your teammates, suicide or the like enough you will get booted and banned. That doesn’t cover Spartan charging or just dropping shields, but since 343 is using the same system as Bungie and the bungie system tracked that stuff and made it contribute to the likelihood that the guy you betrayed got the option to boot, it seems likely that it still does. That is what I meant by griefing.
I was in the middle of a game, and suddenly was booted. I asked the other people in my party and they were still in it, but my message said that my fireteam had changed. I tried to join with them again after restarting my system, but I was given the ban hammer. I attempted to join their fireteam while waiting for them to finish and for my ban to be up but I continue to receive the message that my fire team has changed and be booted out. Is there any way to fix this?

I knew I got banned because when I went to play another match of Slayer the little red triangle was visible to the left of every game on the Playlist. Underneath the Playlist description was the “one or more players on your fire team is banned from playing [insert Playlist match]”

I have been reading this forum since I am, currently, getting lots of bans after game disconnection when the match ended. I think could be my internet, but now I am getting ban for 50min with this disconnection issue.

The ban sume up after every ban.
How many matches you need to complete in order to reduce the next ban time? Or you have to wait the season refresh?

No one knows how or even if the banhammer forgives after a certain amount of time. I’ve only heard of a few players that have gotten a ban that was shorter than their last one; most people report that every subsequent ban is longer than the last.
I have never posted anything here before I’m just pissed that I got banned for 24 hours, all I did was quit two matches and got banned for 8 hours, which I have no problem with, until i restarted the game and I get told I’ve been banned for 24 hours?? Help?

I’m pretty sure it decreases because once I got banned for a time, and few days later the ban time was shorter, but I think it’s been after the season refresh, I’m not 100% sure though. However thanks for your answer.

Noway someone can help you except yourself.
This has happened to me two days in a row. I played a few matches in arena yesterday and I quit one of them, finished a few more and then I couldnt quit searching for a match. So I restarted the game, and when I came back I had a 12 hour ban.
Today I started by playing some warzone then played a game of slayer and I kept getting t-bagged so I just quit. I played some warzone firefit after that finished all other matches I played, opened a REQ pack and then I had a 24 hour ban!
I know that sometimes the system will wait until youve finished a match but as far as I know you have to at least quit 2 matches… If you’re goning to keep banning people for extended periods of time with NO grace period AT LEAST let banned people play the non ranked arena games.
EDIT: I assumed there was like a DNF reset every 24 hours
EDIT 2: The game of fathom I finished, but it says DNF? The game also tells me theres problems with their server, so if it IS the server why am I being banned?
how is this my fault? this is stupid. why i’m getting banned for your stupid servers? every other game mode works fine but infection always does this to me. Now i cant even play thanks to your incompetence.
