I find it really frustrating that the ban system can’t take into account how many teammates had quite the game before you. In the past couple days I’ve quit a number of team arena games because someone on my team quit early on. The game becomes almost impossible to win or have fun at that point, even with a K/D of 2+. so why should players get punished for wanting to quit as well to start a fresh game with fair teams?
After someone quits there should be no penalty for the rest of the team quitting too. It’s not fun for the team with less players, and it’s so easy it becomes boring for the other team too. Really poorly thought out logic on this ban.

Yeah definitely, It would actually be a decent amount of work for them to do something like that, so I don’t think they’ll bother… ever.

No, only matchmaking. You may get the message after a game because the system runs a bit slow in implementing your ban. However, you will not be banned for quitting; forge, theatre, customs or campaign.
My account was banned after my Xbox One disconnected twice at the end of the game cutscene. As soon as it ended I would get the “You have been disconnected” message. That happened after two games from different time periods. I recorded the bans and I have them in my Xbox DVR. If someone could reverse this so I can play the game I bought and spent 4 days on, that’d be great. Edit: It’s actually 6 days.Another Edit: The issue was solved. I get unbanned in 55 seconds.

This is no offence its critism,critism which has it right to exist in this case.
Of course I could have wrote something more professional,there are plenty of words which could have descripe it lesser harsh but I decided to do it so harsh that they get the point.
At all I can say I will take your critism serious for the next time and hope you will keep your ability to critsise things in an profesional manner like youve done it here.

You are responsible for the actions on your account.
You could always tell your son that Halo has a system that prevents you from playing for a period of time if you in some way or form quit.
This is in order to prevent matches from getting loop sided / snowballed due to one side outnumbering the other side. Alternativley also to keep the number of players on the map at a suitable level.
The only thing that needs to be done is have “ban-qualified” players match against each other, with matches having close to no or even no rewards, no progress towards spartan rank, commendations or stats and no req-points. A few “clean matches” required to get back to normal.

Thanks for the parenting advice. My posts were pretty light hearted. I understand the system and how it works, not too worried. He fully understands to finish all his matches, if not who cares. Plenty of other games out there. Just not the best system they have going but whatever. I understand they want to keep it competitive but they will need to revisit the system at some point

The majority of consumers want to play a game without team mates quitting. They seem to be heading in that direction.

Have you even been paying attention? We’re talking about refining the banhammer to make the game better. Apparently halo community is better at ideas than 343i. If this guy can think of something that after a year (or so) after release that 343i havent thought of well… that says a lot…
Also the shear amount of posts on this forum about issues with the banhammer or disconnects that a good portion are probably true. if they wish to implement a ban system (to which i do agree god its frustrating being left men down) then they need it to be accurate and just.
I can´t play since the new update, i tryed reinstallig the game, the xbox one, modem, etc and nothing. And i know the problem it is on the maps because i cant play offline or online many maps. Can someone help me pls?

I know you’ll say it was my fault but it’s not. It’s 343’s fault! It’s your matchmaking system. It’s not throwing new people into the match to even the playing field back out. I have never been banned from any game ever, until now! No warning, nothing. I didn’t know or wouldn’t have quit. Now I’m so pissed I’m considering PlayStation . I only play Xbox because of halo. You would have had my business for life! Now, I’m not so sure! I spent money on a product I can’t use at my own discretion and I don’t want that to happen again! I get the idea behind this but you are costing yourself customers 343. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on games and I will continue to spend money on games. But if I get banned again I will stop sharing and liking halo news and gameplay on my social media sites. I will not purchase anything slightly related to 343 or make halo fan art or any of the other things I do that are free advertising for your company. Also I find it rediculous that you don’t have a way to actually contact 343 as a consumer. You are telling us you don’t want to listen to us 343, and when you put out your next product there will be a lot of ppl who won’t listen because they were/are ignored completely. Shouldn’t you want the advice of the ppl that purchase your products? Dont bite the hand that feeds you 343!

First ever on any console any game! If I’m not hacking moding cheating being rude to others then I should be allowed to play the product I spent my money on! I’m not looking for someone to fix my 8 hour ban I just want 343 to see this and realize that they are not treating their customers the way they should and that they are going to lose business. I was reading another forum site that said like 12000 people have been banned for bad connections or letting their kids play etc. 12,000 x $60 per game= $720,000. 3/4’s of a million dollars. If they set it up to bring new players into a match when someone quit out half of those ppl would have never gotten banned! But hey who really needs $720,000

Well then theres nothing more to say because I cant prove what youre saying.
I just find it courious that you got such an long ban,that you get an ban for quitting 20℅ of your last games is ok but 8hours seems too long.
Just an advice:Keep calm raging will just increase your risk for an heartattack.
