If you’re upset at Halo because you realized you bought the license, you should probably stay away form video games, or really all software altogether, since you don’t own any of your games, only a license to play it.

You paid for a license to play the game. By playing matchmaking (or Xbox LIVE in general) you accepted that Microsoft/343i can ban you for not following the rules they set up.

As we explained in your original post, you have a DNF in 4 of your last 26 Arena matches. Quitting that often really is a habitual problem, and you received sufficient “warning beforehand” when you already knew that you aren’t supposed to quit in the middle of a game. You definitely were not banned “for no reason” and as often as you quit, two hours actually sounds rather lenient to me.

Negative feedback on Xbox Live cannot give you a ban in Halo 5; it can only affect you general Xbox Live rep, which affects your matchmaking. Bans in Halo 5 come from: quitting, excessive disconnects, idling, betraying, and intentional suicides. If the system detects cheating of some sort, you can also be banned. People have also been banned for 'manipulating the matchmaking system", which may mean smurf accounts.

No there is not. There is no player specific warning that says, “If you get 1 more DNF you will be banned for X:XX of minutes.” So you’re wrong friend. If they’re going to ban a player for 2 hours they need to specify all of the details so players are fully aware and can manage accordingly.
You’re also wrong on the ban parameters being specified prior to game release. In fact those rules aren’t specified in any meaningful detail by 343 to this day. Prove me wrong, post a link with the detailed parameters that will result in a ban. (That would at least solve one of the many, many, problematic issues with 343’s over-reaching, silly, extreme banning of its own player base.)

There is a warning that matchmaking rules for misconduct are in effect. Do you expect more in the real world? If a cop pulls you over for speeding do you complain that you didn’t know he would be there today? Here ya go. You can also look at the first post of this thread. You aren’t entitled to some type of gauge or count-down timer that will essentially enable you to break the rules within certain constraints. None of us deserves a quota of mid-games quits that we can “manage accordingly.” You already know that you shouldn’t be quitting in the middle of a match, so don’t do it and you won’t get banned!

i’d say thats not a bad record, my issue is the length of the bans, far too excessive 2 of those bans my controller batteries kept dying, one was a visitor, one was lagging really bad others were due to being thumped by vastly superior players. When people are passionate about something, tempers will flare people will quit, loud bans need to stop period.

I get the sarcasm, but the golden rule is don’t quit = no bans. The game is incapable of understanding why you left, only that you were in the server, and now you’re not in the server while the game is still going.
But it’s a fact that the game gave you fair warning. Every time you try to start a game, it tells you. Every time you try to quit a game, it tells you.

Not a bad record? 20% of your recent matches? You prevent your opponents from having a fair match and you put your teammates at a disadvantage once out of every five matches and you think that is okay? Your next ban will be longer as will the one after that and so on until you correct your behavior.

i don’t disagree entirely with bans, just the length, i think it need to be reconsidered and re implemented thats all, 9 hours is ridiculous, you know theres actually times when i wish team members would quit, 0 kills 18 deaths lol, sometimes your the weak link and need to go, you know? And i’m not the only guy who’s upset by this, i talk to others all the time who get banned for dropped connections, and other things. not a good idea to piss your customers off
