Agreed. Although it’s nice they took the time to reply, it hasn’t helped too much. Sometimes, you all aren’t always right, and you should know that. Leave it to the monitors to solve our problems.

Monitors are not representatives of 343i and do not have the ability to reverse in-game bans. Their moderation powers are strictly for this website.
I recently got banned from the Arena Multiplayer, but I REALLY dont know why. I wasn’t offensive to other players, I wasn’t afk in the last 100 games and before, I never suicide on purpose and I left a game just once! So why was I banned?

The system runs a game behind, and the game prior to your most recent was a DNF. You have several within your last 50 games or so. The system is pretty strict with players not finishing matches, regardless of why you were disconnected (quitting, network issue, power outage, etc.).

If it is the 1 game you quit in arena then that is 1 quit out of 4 games, that is 25 percent, although I feel that getting banned for this is a little excessive I would think that the ban only to last a few minutes at least, the only other factors that it may have taken into account would be possible betraying in those griffball matches( although I am not accusing you af any betray’s at all.) Betraying is also a factor when the banhammer starts to build a profile of your gameing habits/play style.
Also I think that in recent months that there may have been tweeks made to the banhammer algorithm to detect infringments but dont quote me on this, this is just my opinion, my advice would be to get a number of games under your belt before the rage sets in and quit,( also I don’t mean that you rage it’s just a figure of speach), and if you do need to quit try and make sure that it dosn’t form any kind of pattern, e.g every other game, once every day that sort of thing.

An infringement is “the action of breaking the terms of a law, agreement, etc.; violation.”
i.e, breaking the rules of 343i Multiplayer rules include quiting games/disconnection, suiciding to much, betraying, akf/afc(away from keys, away from controller/ ideling)
When you choose a mode/playlist to join it will state in text that “matchmaking rules apply”, above are the types of things that 343i state are the match making rules.

I also look at this thread as a resource for people to find out “why” or what caused the ban. I see many common answers going around this thread, but one I’m most concerned about is “user network issues”. We Know for sure that people could have bad internet connection, restricted nat, or “low” high speed broadband (around 2mb); All these issues seem to point blame at the individual. Now, every residential ISP has instances of internet traffic surges (ITS) and outer gateway traffic; this can cause brief disconnects and the users have absolutely no cause/control over this. You can argue that we should take that issue up with our ISP, but every ISP has it and some may experience ITS more than others; this is not an unknown phenomenon but it happens similar to the 5 o’clock traffic hour. However, players who are effected by this may realize they did nothing wrong and feel the ban was unfair. stckrboy, where does this type situation fall within your guidelines? Better yet, how about I ask you to try and find a way to get this issue to 343i’s attention. I would understand if that is not your protocol; but i would not understand it if they (comedy and chimera) choose to suppress me or anyone else from identifying these legitimate complaints.

Every playlist that says “Matchmaking rules in effect for misconduct” (which is every playlist, even Warzone) is monitored by the banhammer. Not sure why social playlists support JIP but also punish quitting, but that is the way it is. I would suggest not quitting any games (even social ones) to prevent such a ban from happening again.
