I certainly have not had a number of disconnects equivalent to 4 out of thirty matches. As I said if you believe that those were all disconnects and not quits, then I would work to resolve that problem. There are many threads that relate to improving your connection to the servers. There are many things you can do. You say you have a wired connection. You should make sure the port you are using is the best option, make sure your nat is open, make sure that you aren’t experiencing issues on your connection that are transitory. As I said there are many threads on this topic with people who offer better solutions than I could in this case.

> > > “make sure your nat is open,” yes reading is fundamental, also writing something you have no clue about is sad. comedy I shall volunteer to give you a lesson here. opening ports is required to open your nat. The safety of this procedure has been debunked even by Game developers themselves. Users have no control when the internet traffic or “noise” gets congested. When this happens the nat will automatically close for security reasons. Closed nat will likely cause game disconnects in halo5; not because your internet lost connection but it takes more time for data to pass the added security check and ultimately unable to keep pace with live multiplayer sessions. We then get lag + game disconections+ ban+ dnf+ then uninformed comedyshermit pointing wrongful blame at the victims. Hey I know that some people abuse the system, but comedy you need to learn how to accurately address the issues properly.

>

> The part you don’t understand is that residents are not supposed to open the ports if it is closed (moderate or strict nat settings). Microsoft never encouraged us to open our nat!!! Even in the link you provided it only state the benefit of open nat. You need to go back and carefully read the link you sent. However “you” telling people to make sure nat is open in order to avoid bans is absurd especially when they are warned from their ISP not to tamper with router settings. As I stated before 343i nor Microsoft would never tell their customers to open their closed nat settings; however you have no credibility from your misguided misinformed statements.
Dude, having an open nat is beneficial for online play. If your isp has warned you against that is fine, but that doesn’t change anything. I never told anyone that they had to have an open nat, just that you’re less likely disconnect with one.

comedy, you strive to keep everyone honest here, you are not exempt. you stated “You should make sure the port you are using is the best option, make sure your nat is open, make sure that you aren’t experiencing issues on your connection that are transitory” comedyshermit this is in fact your statement…
Also no-one here has denied that open nat is beneficial but you should educate yourself to understand that gamers should not be told to tamper with these settings.

Mate, I have an idea. Instead of whining why don’t you help out? Figure out how to fix your connection issues to the servers and then spread the word. It would be a great benefit to the people who truly do have connection issues.

The only reason a company won’t tell you to have an open Nat or to forward ports is a liability issue. If anything happened they would be sued over the smallest thing. I play perfectly fine on a 6 Mb down, 1 Mb up connection and I don’t get booted from games. The issue is on your end, not theirs. If I can make this barely better than dialup connection work well, then the servers are stable.

me, help, Im Honored…
sorry but I’m already helping the community to cope with this nonsense you are trying to tell them about “open nat” to prevent getting banned; sure open nat is good for stable halo sessions but it also opens the system to back door problems over the residential network.
Btw I see where you quickly deleted the post where you told people to open their nat. Thankfully I made a screenshot before you attempted to try that move:

Hello, I would like to report that those were not me rage quitting. I understand it is viewed like that, but I have an issue with Halo’s servers, which have a habit of kicking me out of matches I DID NOT rage quit in. I’ll admit, I do rage quit, but I don’t rage quit often. Also, the connection problems aren’t on my side, they’re on yours. I have already contacted Xbox Support, and they confirmed that everything on my side is set. Please, I understand it’s hard to understand, but sometimes stats don’t show/reveal everything that happens.
By the way, thanks for even taking the time to read this, I appreciate it.

It is an automated system. It doesn’t matter to it why you didn’t finish a match just that you didn’t finish one.

See, thats the big problem. It doesn’t work. Well, it does to a certain extent, but still. Are you an actual monitor, by the way?

No. I’m not. I just try to help out. The system is designed to count any DNF that way among other things people can’t unplug there router to bypass the quit bans. Try using the search bar at the top, there are plenty of threads about improving your connection and reducing disconnects.

I agree, and neither am I and neither are you, but as a community some members may have more/other information/knowledge than others. The same goes for you.
Comedy has taken the time to reply, and the knowledge that he has is the same that I have when it somes to this subject, reason being is the very first post on this thread that was provided by a Monitor. If you Coppery can’t understand that we as a community try and help each other out with information/knlowledge that others do not have the theres not much else we as a comminty can do “because it’s not official”
