For anyone questioning the ban system. There is a very simple way to get by it. Just create a guest account and switch to that player and boom your back in the game for days. One account gets banned switch to one of the other 4. Itās the reason they think so many people are playing. Just everyone now has 1-4 accounts running full time boosting those numbers just like boosting those ranks.
Get back lack in there killers and exploit the system!!!

Ok so I fell of that dumb cliff map with the bad gravity lifts and get kicked from the game for āunatural selectionā, fine. Play the next game of SWAT, game disconnects and ban? I bought the game yesterday and get banned after 10 games! Is there a way to appeal or get un banned? Iāve played every Halo multiplayer and havenāt seen anyone, let alone myself get banned. Look at my service record and profile, this is just so dumb to get auto banned from knowing what jumps I canāt make.

Can anyone explain what the heck is going on here? His ban was a short one (9 minutes), but as far as I can tell he hasnāt done anything since he bought the game to deserve a ban. Also, does this mean that now he has the chance to get banned for much longer periods of time if a disconnect happens or we have another controller mishap? I read the front page of this thread, but I am still not sure if this means he has some sort of permanent record in Halo which is just going to result in longer bans down the road if he does happen to do something wrong. Does the system decrease the amount of time you are banned if you donāt commit any offenses for a long time for instance?

you can get banned for multiple reasons, and every DNF you receive adds up as well. the game is not a day by day basis on determining bans. the system does not reset either. someone could quit 15 games get multiple banns, leave not play for months play a few games then quit one game and receive another ban.

as mentioned, 9 mins is nothing to worry about but yes he could possibly receive longer bans in the future but another thing to consider is you get banned for more then just quitting games. betrayals and suicides dont really show up in the service record and accidental or not they add up as well

Bans have been a thing for quite a while. Persistent suicides are considered a form of griefing (If you played every Halo game you remember the h3 derankers.) If you kill yourself enough times then you are kicked and may get banned. While I would say it is theoretically possible to kill yourself 3 or 4 times by accident I would assume it is very rare and the net had to be spread wide to catch the bad eggs.
I was just banned the other day for 8 mins and I do not team kill or quit and have been kicked out of a game due to server issue. I really donāt understand why I was banned at all I always stay in game even if itās just me left.

He wasnāt being mean. He was pointing out why he was banned. It doesnāt matter if he ālagged outā or not. Every DNF counts towards the ban hammer and every DNF disrupts the game he was in.

Youāve been told several times why you were banned. You have 6 DNFS in your last 30 matches.

You have 9 DNFS in your last 100 matches. That is why you were banned. If you finish your matches you will not be banned.
The game crashes all the time mid game or i just get booted for no reasons, than i get banned itās stupid fix this why im i getting punished for something thatās not my fault. Halo 2 never did this carp to me on the original xbox why canāt you do the same on a Superior system makes no sense. Please stop banning for this reason

So because a dude mentioned the Mans name running for president his content was considered inappropriate? Hmm I wonder if he had something bad to say about donald if that would be a problem? let me guess if it was the other way around that would be ok right? Because all gamers and halo players are progressives/left leaning people. Wrong!
Im really tired of the vocal minority in the gaming community and society in general getting offended by anything that isnāt considered politically correct or left leaning.
Most of us donāt have any political affiliation, and are mature enough not to get offended by comments lacking substance on a message board for a game we play.
This is a larger symptom of whats wrong with the gaming society and society in general. PLEASE everyone stop getting offended by every little thing and stop worrying about what everyone else thinks and just speak your mind and do what your going to do.

5 out of your last 10 were DNFS. If you are claiming that this wasnāt you quitting, have a look at your connection. There are multiple threads about how to improve your connection. Try using the search bar at the top to find them.

It takes the system a while (usually the length of a match) to implement your ban. You were not banned for quitting a single match. You have DNFS for 7 out of your last 30 matches. Finish your matches and you wonāt get banned.

Why am I banned if the game had server problems one game knocked me out right at the end , I got to play another game till the end kicks me literally the end also Iām banned for 8 hrs when yesterday it happened again . Now I understand if you quit you should get banned but I didnāt an Iām banned for that long bet soothing I canāt control . Fix it or lessen my time or something cause I really didnāt do NADA

Obvious reasons? Like what just the mere mention of a political figures name? Obviously if you tell someone something mean or nasty about their religion or belief that is rude and probably not the best thing to do. thats not the problem I have, The problem I have is you canāt even use a quote a well known public figure said in regards to the games servers without that being considered inappropriate? The more we coddle everyones feelings and sensitivity the more sensitive and thin skinned everyone will get. Are we going to get the point where people are offered by halo cause the covenant killed lots of human beings? All Iām trying to say is, that people shouldnāt be so easily offended and I agree this isnāt the place typically for politics, it also shouldnāt have an arbitrary block on anything thats even remotely related to the issue. You know whats offensive to me? There are adult men and women getting offended by a forum or message board about a video game while there are people starving dying of cancer being killed and every other terrible thing that could happen. Thats offensive.
343 has the right to determine what is posted on their forums. That includes the right to not allow political or religious stuff. You have no reason to assume someone was āoffended.ā If you have questions about moderation decisions message one of the moderators as posting about moderation decisions is also against forum rules. This is also off-topic to the ban thread and site as a whole. I apologize I probably should have mentioned that in my first post, I just assumed you were already aware.
