13 Warzone DNFs since 7/30/2016, 5 for Arena. Now you played alot of games, so the percentage of DNFs may be low, but that is still alot of DNFs. Apparently enough for the system to issue a ban. Now, if these were from quitting, my suggesting is to stop quitting. But if these are from unintentional disconnects as you claim, then that suggests some troubled communication between your console and the servers. The system treats all DNFs equal, even disconnects, because it canât tell the difference between someone dashboarding/pulling out ethernet/turning off XBox intentionally from someone who actually experiences internet trouble. And if you are experiencing regular disconnects or lag, you may need to troubleshoot your connection (ping test, packet loss, switch to wired connection, call your ISP, etc.). To promote a stable multiplayer experience for the majority, the system treats all DNFs the same and temp bans people that have too many DNFs, because DNFs disrupt the multiplayer experience for others, especially in Arena. And yes, betrayals (even in Warzone) can contribute to bans.
Also, Halo 5 uses dedicated servers, so one person having a bad connection shouldnât effect the entire game (only that person would be laggy, not you/everyone else). And a server issue would effect at least everyone in that match, not just you. So more than likely, connections issues are on the playerâs end or somewhere between the player and the servers.

I know why I was bannedI would really like to know why for 6 hours⌠Seems extreme
I just get banned cause my -Yoinking!- wifi shut down and it say that i quit the game but i loose my wifi sooo what should i do?
Why is it when 343 kick me out for loosing connection when i clearly havenât it gives me a 45+ minute ban?

You have 7 dnfs out of your last 50. I notice two of those are from griffball and you mentioned being betrayed. If you are betrayal booted you may receive an âEt tu bruteâ message and be banned for griefing. If not received that message your recent history of DNFs is likely the reason you were banned.

I knew I got six hours from somewhere. Generally first bans are short and they double about every time. In order to reach six hours you would have had to have been banned many times.

You have six dnfs in your last fifty matches. If you run a search, there are many instructions on how to improve your connection.

You have 8 dnfs in your last fifty matches. If you are claiming they are all disconnects, then you should work on trying to improve your connection. If you use the search bar at the top there are many threads on how to improve your connection. In order for your ban to reach 45 minutes you would have had to have been banned many times before.
I finished a game, it showed the end animation, i can go look at the carnage report, but it lost connection at the last second. Now im banned becouse i had to leave earlier to go somewhere.
Also I left to play something else and when i came back to Halo, it doubled in time??

4 out of your last 10 Arena games (since 7/30/16) were DNFs, so that most recent DNF triggered the ban. Since the banhammer runs behind, it took a game for the ban to kick in. Thatâs why, when you finished the game after the DNF, the ban kicked in immediately. You didnât lose connection; the hammer just hits as soon as a game completes.
Having to go somewhere means you still quit. The banhammer treats all DNFs the same, whether you rage quit, quit for legitimate reasons, or disconnect.

It takes more than one match to be banned. The disconnect you refer to is your ban being enacted. The second page of your history has five DNFS alone and there were two on your first page which include some customs games. Donât leave matches and you wonât get banned.

Every time you are banned the length doubles.
So Halo just kicked me out of 3 games in a row saying âDisconnectingâ then âLeft Fireteamâ. I was the only person in my fireteam how did I leave exactly?
hahahaha okay today i decided to start up halo 5 to enjoy some time in arena i hardly EVER quit matches the only time i quit a match is if there is something i absolutely need to do like right during the match which is very rare, im the only one who touches my xbox in the house anyone else is supervised my me, but any way i just started halo 5 and went through halo messages of the day and after i closed out i got a ban hammer message saying i have been banned for 22 hours and im sitting here like well s*** and im a little irritated cuz i allowed my younger brother to play last night and he didnt quit any matches, i know that for a fact because i was in the same room as him, but last night he got a 8 hour ban and im starting to get really irritated with 343 in general. ive been a fan of halo ever since combat evolved came out in 2001, ive been playing halo since i was three and ive got to say that in all my years of playing halo i have never been banned as much as i have in halo5. i really want to keep playing and enjoying the halo series but im not sure if i can because we all know 343 is running the series to s***. But if anyone reading this has an idea why i was banned i would love to hear your opinion.
p.s. concerning my in game attitude:
my in game attitude i just fine i get salty every now and then but who doesnât but even so i still keep a positive attitude and keep enjoying the game i do not team kill unless its an accidentally and i donât intentionally kill my self and i donât intentionally feed im not the greatest player in the world but 8/10 times i have a positive k/d .so im really upset and confused on why i keep getting banned
so if ANYBODY has and idea or opinion on why i keep getting banned please, please let me know why? i would love to keep enjoying halo but if these random bans keep happening im done and will be selling my halo 5 game,

6 out of your last 20 Arena games are DNF, all since 7/29/16. Thatâs probably wh you have a ban.

But there is a.- Matchmaking rules in effect for misconduct-. And in red - Could not find a server that is suitable to your fireteam⌠i havnt played in mnany months. Is there a place i can speak to about this?

âMatchmaking rules in effect for misconductâ is the warning everyone sees to remind them not to quit, idle, betray, etc.
The other message, âCould not find a serverâŚâ, Iâm not sure about that one.

The ban timer seriously needs to reset to 10 minutes when the seasons reset. Seriously 343 how can you guys be thins freaking stupid.
