I got banned for almost 30 minutes because servers disconnected or the game failed to load the lobby the screen was blurry i could only acces the carnage report then after a few minutes a red screen said the servers were down and then the banhammer
PLEASE NOTE IT WASNT MY CONNECTION
-I was using my phone so it wasn’t my internet
-I have a 15MB internet i usually never lag unless theres a tornado outside or the lobby itself lags
I did check my internet
-My NAT was open
-The xbox didn’t disconnect from the internet neither i was signed out
-Like a said the lobby froze NOT the game since i still was able to open carnage report press start etc but i wasnt able to leave the lobby and the screen was faded
-Halo servers been a little bit problematic lately
Even though i dont complain about the banhammer cuz i think its a pretty good idea but it needs some work and i think 30 min was a little bit ridiculous for something that i wasn’t able to control

I was wondering if it was an issue related to my internet connection, but since I did not remember the last time that I was disconnected or had lag issues during a multplayer match in another game (and I play a lot of BF4, btw), I suppose this is not the case. Anyway, maybe the Halo servers have an way to evaluate if one leaves a match unintentionally or purposely (at least I hope so), because my ban was removed few hours after this post

2 out of your last ten were DNFS. It takes the system a match to catch up. So you will fail to finish a game. Play one more, Be disconnected and receive your ban. You are not punished for ‘finishing a game.’ but for failing to finish the prior one.

I’ve been getting the same problem. It shows a screen after a match and I cant leave it so it forced me to restart Halo 5 and then gave me a 3 day ban. The Ban Hammer in Halo is the worst i’ve seen. In Halo: Reach the Ban Hammer was perfect

7 out of our last 50 were DNFS. I do not believe you have to worry about a console ban, however your ban time will increase as long as you continue to leave games.

Discounting your custom games you have 4 dnfs out of your last 40. That is 10%. Describe the ‘screen you can’t leave.’

You have DNFS on 3 out of your last 10 matches. You were not banned for leaving theater, however the system may take a short period before notifying you of your ban. So, you may have received notice about your ban as you exited theatre.

So enjoy your ban, you can’t be a martyr if the banhammer is doing its job correctly.
