Im getting kicked out of games because I just started and im -Yoinking!- awful but halo keeps banning me for longer periods of time first 14 mins then 30 mins and then 50 mins. 343 fix this. I enjoy this game but this bannning -Yoink- has got to end. I don’t understand how such a big company with a world renowned game get people banned for no reason.

All but one DNF in your history had you with more deaths than kills. I think the banhammer use that as some criteria for a ban.
Also, you have not been banned for no reason.

As if the Halo franchise and Microsoft needed to give people another reason to feel dissatisfied and ignored.
Edit: I’m done.
So earlier today a friend of mine was playing Halo 5 with me, and we went into super fiesta. Just when the second game starts loading he goes idle to go get something to eat, and I yell out to him that it’s about to start. He goes AFK the whole time (idiot) and was supposed to get banned. Well, he got the message “The Ban Hammer Strikes” (a.k.a. “Go -Yoink- Yourself”) but he was able to get into another match of Super Fiesta. He gets two kills and then the same “Go -Yoink- Yourself” message appears and kicks him out of the game.
Seriously, this needs to be fixed. I know he was a dumb–Yoink- and deserved the ban for going idle for a whole game, but he shouldn’t have been kicked out in the middle of a match because the ban hammer didn’t do its job right the first time.
You don’t seem to grasp the most simple of concepts
constantly banning people will piss a lot of people off. Yes it will. Quitters, but if they didn’t it would piss a hell of a lot more people off. The majority. That is what big companies do. Cater to the majority. People who don’t quit.
Stop quitting. Is that concept really too hard to fathom.
Im starting to get the impression that your an ***hole, you aren’t even listening to me. I’m trying not to quit but if I get banned because I have to do something in real life or quitting for lag then I will not stand for this. Do me a favor and don’t reply Magic Thingy.
I am an ###hole yes.
It’s like talking to a brick wall. Hello, mcfly, mcfly, hello anybody in. STOP QUITTING and you won’t get banned. Hello hello…
I dont don’t know how many times I’ve said this, I accept bans for quitting games but not for quitting a game that’s 1 frame per minute. I understood you the first few times. But you can’t honestly blame me for quitting a game for lag, hello , hello!! It’s not my fault !!

Actually, you can be blamed for quitting for lag-related reasons. Lag may sometimes be outside of your control, but quitting is quitting, no matter the reason. Quitting because the game lags is no more noble than quitting to protect your K/D. Now that you know how sensitive the banhammer is towards you, you really only have a few options: 1) stop any and all quitting; finish all your games. 2) Continue your current playstyle, quitting when you feel like it, and continue accepting bans of increasing length. 3) Stop playing altogether; this is only an option for those unable to accept option 1 or 2.
I quit 1 game and one game only because my friend got disconnected from the game while we were loading in. So why did I get a 40 minute ban? This is ridiculous. Just bought this game again a couple of days ago because servers finally work with southeast Comcast but yet they implement something stupid like this… 343 did a great job on previous halo games but your coding is flawed in this one for banning people for a first offense. Shouldn’t be banned for something like that unless it’s a recurring thing. Good job guys, you made this game less appealing now
I was just banned for 24 hours because Halo 5 servers are weak. Yesterday was a major problem where we all kept lagging out of custom lobby’s. I was in the middle of a match and all of a sudden " Host Migration" kicked in and was major lag so I left. It doesn’t make sense that we all want people to play Halo 5 but, we have 24 hour bans? How does it go with people who don’t leave as often as everyone else that get like 20-40 minute bans?
Once I got kicked from a game because I accidentally killed a few teammates in grifball but this other guy killed our entire team like five times and didn’t get kicked.
I got banned for 3 days cause I lost connection to a match.

I feel for you.
This is terrible, I get banned now whenever the game lags out. Seeing as I’ve played hundreds of not thousands of games and never rage quit I find this unacceptable. Have a look at my stats and unban me now! Also if the ban hammer can’t detect lagging out then it’s useless seeing as that happens on this game a lot!
I am banned for 4 days because I quit out of a Free-For-All match. 4 DAYS? If I am not having fun I should have the right to leave the game and find another match, especially if I paid 60 DOLLARS! Besides, when I leave an FFA match, it doesn’t negatively affect my team. You know why? BECAUSE THERE ARE NO TEAMS! The punishment for leaving that game type makes no sense and is completely absurd. If anyone at 343 is reading this, please reduce my ban, or remove it entirely. I paid good money and I can’t even play the game how I want or when I want. The whole system needs a complete overhaul. I’m really considering returning the game or boycotting future titles entirely because of this.
Hello,
Today I was banned for 9 hours after I was kicked from a game after the connection to the server was lost (once in the middle of a game and twice when the game was over). Is there anyone I can speak to about this? I feel it is unfair for me to spend my hard earned money to purchase this game, only to be banned from it for almost half a day for the server kicking me. I know 343i doesn’t have any public contact info, so is their anything that can be done? This happened last night as well and I was banned for an hour. I really enjoy Halo, but I will have to return it if I cannot play it.
Thank you
I completely understand banning and I think it’s a great way to keep things in line
but… When thugs actually aren’t our fault it’s a little bit annoying, I’m not talking about “my brother or sister…” I mean when it’s a problem within the game itself that is out of our hands, I got banned yesterday because the game went all wonky and didn’t load the post game stats page where it shows the leaderboards and everything. So the game didn’t load that and I was waiting for five minutes and I got tired of waiting for the game to fix so I pressed the home button and quit the game from the Xbox home screen and went back in, then when I opened the game again it said i was banned for quitting a game in progress even though I finished the game, so I finish the game and I lose my arena boost and I get banned. That’s not fair, technical problems within the game that are outta our control kinda sucks, please fix this
"I didn’t do anything wrong, and you can’t prove it. Will you please reverse my ban?
Our automated system builds up a digital case of wrongdoing before any ban is enacted. If you accidentally disconnect a time or two, you won’t get banned. Instead the system looks for patterns that can’t happen accidentally. If the banhammer detects enough wrongdoing, you were doing wrong."
Good one. So my disconnects are just a coincidence now, are they? Explain this to me then: multiple times after completing a match, just before I get experience and req points, I get a message saying “You were disconnected from the match,” immediately followed by a ban message, even though I had not disconnected or quit a match beforehand. Do explain, moderators. I’m eager to hear your answer.
I was just banned not long ago (first time banned) . It was a very short ban period but I just want to know if this will negatively affect my account. I disconnected from a match and this was my first time doing so and got the ban notification after a custom game match and I also did suicide on accident a couple times during my matches today. In the past there was the accidental team kills by running over a teammate with a vehicle or grenade throw (These team kills don’t happen often) . Again I just want to know if and how this will affect my account if at all. Thank you.
Too funny. My 6 year old plays on my xbox live account. I find it funny enough people cried about him trying to get to the “secret spots” in all the maps that my IP address got banned resulting in my second xbox live account being banned as well. Thanks for that everyone
one less game I need to worry about him playing.
