No, I just said four isn’t one and didn’t feel like taking the time to count all of them I don’t care if people quit, I just dislike dishonesty.
I played one game of swat and then after the game ended i left during intermission and I got a ban message saying I had quit too many matches. Now I can’t play for 1 hour !!! Please fix !!!
So yesterday I was banned for 40 minute. Started at 15 or something. I went to play solo and wait my time after all it was my fault for not signing out all the way. Came back and was banned for 40 minutes. Huh? Post my inquiry and my ban was gone minutes later. Thank you. Today I kept having “retrieving data” issues. So I would restart my consol. If I took a break from the game (bathroom or getting a drink) I was sure to finish a game then back out of match making. Point was to ensure I properly removed myself from any match making thus preventing an unwarranted ban. I just got back on and was banned for 5+ hours! What! Seriously? For what. This is neat a joke! Halo doesn’t load my data correctly so I have to restart my consol. I log out of match making appropriately and I’m still banned. Does 343 or those at Halo even validate a ban b4 striking it? PEOPLE! I’VE BEEN A HALO SUPPORTER FOR OVER 10 YEARS! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! FIX THIS PLEASE. JUST LET ME PLAY. I DON’T QUIT GAMES…EVER…EVEN WHEN IT’S ME ALONE AFTER MY TEAM HAS QUIT AND I’M STUCK PLAYING 1 ON 4! IF I’M DOING SOMETHING WRONG WHEN I LOG OUT OF MATCH MAKING, TELL ME. DON’T JUST BAN ME. I can understand banning people for minor offenses but banning someone for hours or days is completely unnecessary. Something like that will make people lose any interest in the game and possibly not buy future games in the series.

No it isn’t. It’s an extremely good one.
Most people don’t quit, and therefore 343 would do better to please those people, the majority, by letting them play against other people who do not quit, instead of players who quit, who ruin the experience for the majority.

Okay… I’m editing this post because I was in a very bad mood. So much so that I acted like a child and continued to argue with people in a non adult manner. My issue’s with Halo 5 still stands however. Once again I finished a match and after the match was done. The animation of our team was finished. It froze after it returned my to the title screen. I had to restart the game… Now this has happened many times. Its always freezing after I win or lose. After the game and match is done. And it keeps banning me for trying to fix the problem. I was banned for four hours, then eight, the twenty-four hours. All because I leave after the match is 100% done. I’m not leaving during the match or even before. Only after. Its unfair that I can’t play because I keep getting banned after finishing a game. Most of the time wanting to keep playing because i’m having fun. The banning system needs an update to not ban people with connectivity problems. Or have some way to prove that you are not leaving on purpose.
Once again. I’m sorry for my childish behavior. I will refrain from such comments from now on.

That’s where the 1-59 minute ban would come into place. Sorta like a time out for bad behavior. I’m sure 343 would prefer a high player count for their game but hey, what do I know? After all halo 4 and mcc were flooded online compared to halo 3 and reach.

Doubtful. They now have the ‘REQ’. Goodbye to all previous business models. They will earn more from req’s than they will selling games.
Invent a couple REQ sucking game types, and hey presto. Who needs a higher player count.
As for a time out. That is what the banhammer is, but some people just don’t get it, so for those people bans get longer and longer, until they just plain and simply leave. However they actually don’t. They just come here and say they’ll leave, but never seem to.

I have a one year old daughter to attend to. I’m sorry this unfortunate thing happened that made me quit out of a game I was already losing because my teammate was horrible. So I read your post. Is there anything we can do? Reduce the time at least. I was banned for 8 hours and I just got on; quit only once because of this situation. I’m a huge fan, huge supporter, Halo 5 is great doubles needs to stay other then that I love it. Please reply thanks, Chris

4 out of your last 10 Warzone games are DNFs. 3 out of your last 10 Arena games are DNFs. You were banned after this game because of the DNF you had on the game before. The banhammer runs typically 1 game behind, so it usually takes one game in order to kick in. You weren’t banned for completing a match; the ban just kicked in as soon as you completed that match, but it was for your previous DNFs.
Also, Halo 5 isn’t rated M, it is rated T for teen.

Unfortunately the system cannot determine why people don’t finish games; only that they don’t finish. To the banhammer, all DNFs are equal. I understand real life comes first, especially children, and you are right to leave a game in order to attend to your child. But the banhammer does not know that, and there is no way for it to know that you had a valid reason for leaving.
An ban of 8 hours means you have been banned before, and the system is flagging you as a repeat offender. I won’t tell you how to live your life, but I will offer this: consider altering your play schedule. Try to play at times when you would be least likely to have to leave midgame to take care of responsibilities. Only you can know when those times are, and they may be scarce. But now that you know how sensitive the banhammer is, you must adapt to it or risk getting banned even longer.
Ok so I’m agitated that just because I idled for literally 6 minutes (first time) I get a 1 hour ban… Like are you serious?! I had to answer the door because some weirdo was trying to sell me some smart house type ****. Something I could not control. Just after 6 minutes, I was playing my next game and when I get to the Carnage Report it said “THE BANHAMMER STRIKES” And it was the first time I have ever idled…
So I get banned due to severe lag which wasn’t even caused by me! then I have to wait for an hour to get back onto arena, why does absolutely all online play have to ban you?
