I logged into halo 5 in the first time for a few months and when i wanted to play a match it said that “At least one player in your fireteam is not permitted to play multiplayer games”. Since my fireteam was always empty it could only be me but I hadn’t played since around april and I didn’t get banned before I stopped playing. There is no timer or anything and I’m also banned from custom games wich apparently requires to break the rules in a major way. Has anyone the same problem and maybe a solution? I really wanted to play halo again but its really frustrating that I can’t for no reason.
(EDIT) problem solved itself. Stil don’t know why the ban was there tho. I apologize for this false report
I left the match making screen and went to do a few things. Came back to a 15 min ban. How am I banned for leaving match making at the start of match making? Okay, so maybe I didn’t leave as I thought…moving in I accept the ban…I’m forced to. I go into campaign solo and play for 15 or so minutes. Go back to arena and I’m banned for 40 minutes now. What the heck? How? I got banned from a ban for playing solo game? Please explain so I don’t make the mistake of playing solo while I’m banned. There’s no need for being banned from a ban for playing solo…you think?

I have 2 DNF’s because i keep getting kicked when the game ends. The game ends, and all i receive is a screen saying I’ve been disconnected and then banned (after the two games)

You being disconnected at the end of a match and receiving the ‘The banhammer strikes.’ is due to you quitting the match prior to that. It takes the system a game to catch up.
Yeah, that is an good question. Why was I banned? Why don’t you tell me forum? - As for 343 industries, fix your absolutely horrendous banning system, it’s flawed af. - Also fix that bs that always happens where you start a game with 3 players on your team instead of 4(unless that’s people dash-boarding and getting away with it, then that just proves how flawed your banning system is). - My GT: Lambersz - Find my username and go to my game DVR. You will see a video where I literally get banned for winning. Yes, you’ve read this correctly, for winning. What garbage 343, you change halo’s feel completely, ruin its story mode and gameplay yet can’t even get your servers working, which even activision can do a better job with Call Of Duty, which is embarrassing imo.

This literally just happened to me, i recorded it and everything. Worst of all, I wasn’t told how long I was banned for. So I turned off my xbox and now I’m STRONGLY considering selling this game, because it has been the least enjoyable halo I’ve played yet, in every single regard!
Does the ban ever reset? Maybe a warning system would be nice. 20hr ban is rediculous, especily if you had the game since launch. Life does happen. Every time i get banned I stop playing HALO 5, the only mode i want to play is arena and as soon as I get banned I play battlefeild 4. Is that what 343 want’s a factured player base. I dont think so, I prefere HALO 5 but the devoloper chooses to have its community banned from playing the very game that it created for them. It does’nt make any sense. At least have a cap or a reset point. In six months I wont’ even be able to play HALO 5! Please respond 343i. You don’t get banned for winning, this is covered on the first page of this thread:

Considering that 5 out of your last 10 Arena games were DNFs, I’m betting the ban system has flagged you as a habitual quitter, so it is going to be more sensitive to your DNFs. My suggestions: 1) if you are quitting, stop. 2) If you are experiencing disconnects due to unstable internet connection, troubleshoot your connection. There are plenty of troubleshooting methods around: used wired connection, port forwarding, checking ping and packet loss, etc.

What about the people who paid $60 and get sick and tired of quitters. What about them…? Should they have to suffer because of people like you. Instead of threatening to quit playing Halo 5, why not just simply quit playing Halo 5. Just leave and never buy another Halo game ever.
I highly doubt 343 needs quitters, as they would alienate the people who don’t quit. The people who don’t quit are the people that are more valued by the look of things.
My account has been recently banned due to a friend playing Slayer and DNFing the matches. If you review my online game history, you’ll notice I, the owner, very rarely, if ever, play Slayer nor do I quit matches. I stick with BTB, Warzone, and Infection. I would like to continue playing online and will not allow my friend to play again. I have bought REQ packs and would rather not see that money go for nothing, not to mention leveling, skins, and the commendations gained. Please reconsider and lift the ban on my account so that I may continue to enjoy and support the Halo 5 community.

Unfortunately, even if it was not you on your account, you are still responsible. From the first page of this thread:

But then after, I disconnected because I have crappy Rogers internet and I got a message saying I was banned for quitting. How does disconnecting because of bad internet result in a ban? This has happened so many times that my ban timer is at 3 hours now and I’m typing this waiting for my very unreasonable ban to be lifted. Its so unfair that I get banned for disconnecting, which was completely out of my control. I’m sure other people are experiencing this problem. 343 please fix this issue because I love Halo 5, but this banning thing is so frustrating. WTH, i just got banned due to connection issue? I’ve been having problems with your servers for days now, when i check my internet connection to any other title or even using the XB1 network settings, everything tells me I’m good to go, no packet loss, great connection etc etc. I lag out of a few games and you ban me for it? f’n ridiculous, fix your -Yoink- servers and un ban me, this is some BS man.
