They should change it so you can leave Free for All matches. Nobody cares if you leave a free for all match, it doesn’t affect them at all. At least I never AFK or do anything shady or exploitative with gameplay. He who bans least bans best!
also I’m worried my ban is permanent cause I’m still banned and there is no timer on it. I’m paranoid that I was hacked because my banner and picture for my spartan ID changed all by itself and the color even went pink!!! Maybe it’s because I’m just tired and reset it by mistake but I’m worried that someone hacked me and got me permabanned now. *n/m it told me im banned for 39 more minutes i guess im just paranoid ill get some sleep

Your ban isn’t permanent for quitting. If it is your first ban it should be short. Per the section I bolded, No. Those who violate the rules effect the other people playing the game (and yes this does include free-for-all) in a negative manner. There needs to be some form of deterrent to prevent those who would violate the rules. As it stands the ban system is the best deterrent we have. Simply allowing people to violate the rules without consequence will lead to more violations, not less.

The match immediately before your last one was a dnf. I’ve yet to hear of a permanent ban for quitting. A few days yes, but nothing permanent.

I’m done I was and kinda am still a halo fan I loged in and I got so I’m gonna stop buying future halo games it’s a shame if they don’t unbane me then ill just stop I had faith in them my friends would talk carp about 343 and said they ruined halo I said they will make it better l. That sounds like a Microsoft issue. You might try posting in the regular support forums for that.

You’ve quit 3 out of your last 10 Arena games; that’s probably why. As for why you got banned after a completed match, the banhammer takes 1 or 2 games to catch up to you. You were banned for this game, not the game you finished after.
As for refunds, you’ll have to take that up with the retailer who sold you the game. Although, it is worth noting that you don’t have a case, as when you agree to the ToS and CoC, you agree to follow whatever matchmaking rules 343i puts in place (in this case, the rule is "don’t quit).

This amount of quitting is probably enough to warrant a ban, especially since it’s all within the last couple of days.

I keep getting banned after I finish a match. Today I left one game and I know that it will ban me after the next match or so but I left ONE game and now I’m getting banned. This also happened to me yesterday.
