What the hell is the deal with this armor, If spartans cant swim then what is the point to have this armor in halo 4?..Im not complaining about it im just asking…Why?
What’s the point of any armour?
So you can play dress-up and make your Spartan all pretty. Some people like how old-style diving helmets look, so it’s there for them.
For spartan armor though? Really?

I think it may have a very, VERY, small reference to Bioshock.
Maybe that armor is optimized for swimming
maybe so they can swim?

watching vidocs and stuff before release, they discussed originally wanting to implement water vehicles and levels. there’s even aquatic emblems and armors and such, likely because there were plans for the theme to make more sense.
oceanic’s one of the cooler looking armors, i think so it’s cool they left the stuff in there. plus you never know what DLC might bring. 
I never thought about that, but it’s pretty funny. It’s just for looks though.
The armour is designed for underwater missions. Just because we can’t swim in-game, it doesn’t mean that Spartans can’t go in water, right?
How do you know they cant swim? May be they dive, like the NAVY.
