On the action figure of Chief’s cryotube, the number “16” is visible. Do you think it has a meaning, or has any importance? I just can’t see why 343i would put the number there without it being some sort of clue.
My theory, is that it might correspond to the numbers from the tv show “LOST”. On LOST, 16 was a number that represented a character named Sayid. Sayid’s fate might be a clue to something for Chief or another character in Halo 4; a small, but possible insight.
Sayid on the final season of LOST, was taken over by an evil force on the island. He became sort of a lifeless servant for the evil, being promised that his lost love could be brought back to him by the evil. Sayid eventually overcame the evil inside of him, and sacrificed himself by taking a bomb and running away with it to save his friends. His final line, to the main hero of the show, Jack, was: “It’s going to be you, Jack”. This meant that Jack was the person who was supposed to save everyone and stop the evil.My main theory is this: Cortana=Sayid; Cortana is taken over by rampancy,(darkness), and may or may not turn bad. She eventually sacrifices herself somehow to save the important people in the story, especially Master Chief(Jack) because he’s the one who’s supposed to save everything. Chief could also signify Sayid, but I can’t see Chief being taken over by an evil, maybe sacrifice, though.
I know this may sound ridiculous, but it’s only a theory, and I just can’t see 343i putting the 16 there for no reason. Either way, I’m excited for Halo 4.

Theories keep this forum alive. and the overload of them gives us things to hope for.
