I feel the new upcoming dlc will lead to disapointment for a lot of us Halo fans, by that I mean sure the new game mode and everything will be amazing! (hopefully) but I feel once again they’re going to shut the flood completely out of Halo at the end of the campaign. For me this upsets me and I’m sure it upsets a lot of you, hoping that the flood would return to Halo only to be shut out again.
Maybe they wont end the flood there, what I am saying is all speculation. But knowing 343 and how they’ve let a lot of us down in the past with these sorts of things I can only assume the outcome for the flood in Halo.

Well OK it’s a possibility, but very unlikely. The Flood are from a different galaxy anyway, and what we have now is literary Halo CE but more land.

It’s not judging it’s a speculation of what could happen and if it were the outcome it would be upsetting. It’s also hard not to judge a company that has made so many mistakes and haven’t apologised for their mistakes. Lets not go there though the games that shall not be named.

Actually I think it will. The Flood shouldn’t be something they can easily contain…plus this is a full expansion.

True from a lore standpoint, but from a real world perspective 343i is going to get flak for reintroducing The Flood through DLC. The current novels 343i released after Halo 5 mainly end in stalemates/take place before 5/don’t matter.
I think 343i has been hesitant to do anything with the flood because Halo 3 really finished the fight with the flood. Reintroducing the flood as a galaxy wide threat again, devalues H3’s ending. What was the point of going through all that only to have your foe reappear? I’m pretty sure, the DLC will be a self contained story with the flood being driven back into containment.
Eh, is gonna have the Flood and Terminus Firefight. Not to mention the add on campaign, i personally think this will be good for HW2. Plus they could update the game with the new DLC and giving heroes buffs and nerfs they need.

How does a new Halo Wars 2 dlc being almost entirely about the flood and the duty for these two brothers to face it off to the death, equal 343 shutting them out again?
The flood are always here, Just because two games didn’t have them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
For all we know they probably didn’t want to just slot them in for no reason.
We’re getting a new story, and a reason, and that’s anything but a recipe for disappointment.
I really doubt the flood are going to be wiped out in five or so missions. I understand your fear though but remember if they ‘eradicate’ the immediate flood threat I it will be the last we see of them.

Your premonition was correct,can’t even download the game again and many others are experiencing the same problem
