Armor Abilities already sounded a bit weird because it sort of seems like that is all that suit can do and IMO they are getting a bit old. Armor Enhancement or AE’s will be any upgrade that improves Spartans(or Elites) combat efficiency.
These Armor Enhancements will of course come in different types of course. Some will be single use, others have a recharge time,a few will run on fuel and the others will just have a a short timer. People are really volatile to upsetting the supposed Golden Triangle but i don’t think they realized that the flow of that triangle was disrupted when grenades were nerfed,turrets were introduced along with and equipment/AA’s. So lets change this up a bit.
Lets make it a sort of Yin and Yang here. Lets up a little dot in each one of the triangular lines.
Weapon buffs/cancels, nerfs, Muscle buffs/cancels,nerfs and grenade buffs/cancels,nerfs.
I haven’t really got a perfect system of how players would get these abilities but i think putting them on the map,awards, and spawning with them will of course will play a role. On the map is what i’ll leaning more on because it feels right for these.
I’m just going to give off one AE as an example for each.
Weapons
Buff-
Rail Amp-Projectile based weapons bullets fire near instantly. When the trigger is pulled contact is made. Single use
Cancel-
Weapon Disrupter 1-Targeted player, ally or foe’s weapons is disabled for 15 seconds. Three time use
Nerf-
Heat Shield 1-Plasma based weapons do half damage for 30 seconds. Resistance spreads in a 3 meter radius. rechargeable-45s
Muscle
Buff-
Eagle Eye-Increases the RRR for the player by 50% for automatics, 25% for precision for 5 seconds. Single Use
Cancel-
Self Defense-After activation the user is able to block 1 incoming melee attack and counter. Beatdowns take two hits, assassinations countered and standard melee is reversed. Recharged after successful activation.
Nerf-
Gravity Bomb-Players caught in the gravity bomb are slowed down by 50 percent until out of the Gravity Bombs radius. Field last for 30 seconds, Quantity based.
Grenades-
Buff-
Homing Grenade-After a grenade is throw it will track the target nearest to it and move into it’s most effective range. Single Use
Cancel-
Anti Grenade Field-Grenades that are throw near the user within a 5 meter radius are propelled away for 25s. Rechargeable
Nerf-
Blast Shield-Grenades do less damage depending how the power of the blast shield. Quantity Based.
Those are just examples but i think this would add a nice funnier twists in Halo. I’m sure people of the forum have their own ideas about these so list them if you wish.
Universal AE’s will be ones that can’t exactly be charted as the others such as Active Camo and Overshields.
