The next trailer for Halo Infinite

When can we expect to see the next trailer for Halo Infinite? Maybe in February 2020 or March 2020?

E3 2020 lol

E3 2020 is all we know for sure

The two people above say E3 2020. Consider this. Why in the name of Sergeant Johnson would 343 Industries not release a trailer before E3 2020 with a release date as well? We have to have a Beta long before then. Otherwise this whole game could come crashing down really fast. A 5 month beta on servers that are meant to run with PC, Xbox One, and the next generation console is not going to have nearly enough time to test in beta within 5 months. Absolutely not.

More than likely we will see another trailer and a beta announcement at earliest tomorrow at The Game Awards (last chance for 2019.) Or early 2020. Most likely in February.

If they wait until E3 in June, they will be very tough on timing. Absolutely tough. E3 2020 is a great place to make the whole thing formal. Maybe a realease date of the Xbox Scarlett version. But not for a final trailer. It needs to come tomorrow at the earliest or March or possibly April at the latest.

E3 would be the worst place for a final trailer if they are hoping for a beta to work properly.

Edit:
This topic I found pretty much confirms my theory:

In the article written post E3 2019 by Chris Lee and published here on Waypoint made it pretty clear that nothing would be concretely given or shared about Infinite until E3 2020. I am fairly sure it would been reported if any news about Halo Infinite would be shown at GA.

And June-November (assuming that is when launch is) is I believe is enough time for flighting/beta. I would be willing to bet that if that is the case that no major changes to the game will occur from a sandbox/design etc stand point but rather just small tuning based on player feed back.

If a beta prior to E3 was going to launch within the next 4 months we probably would know by now. This all just my conjecture

I would agree with you, but there is something in the back of my mind telling me that the flighting program would begin before that. They released the Halo 5 beta to MCC owners in Dec. 2014 or Jan 2015, which was almost of year before 5 launched. They have told us that they want to have ample time for community feedback. Six months is enough time for tweaks and tuning. It is not enough time for large gameplay changes.

I don’t think they need to give us a heads up to drop a beta or flighting program. EA dropped Apex the day it was announced. The community doesn’t need to get ready and 343 doesn’t need to make an announcement to hype up a beta. It is completely plausible to drop a beta date at the VGA or even Inside Xbox. All of the Halo fans would dive in no matter what. Can you imagine if Phil got up on stage and told us we could download the Halo Infinite beta RIGHT NOW. Fans would lose their minds.

Not what I think will happen, but I think that could be a good move as they ride the wave of positive Halo news (Reach launching on PC). Let us hope to get our hands on the beta as soon as possible!

That would be pretty amazing.

It would never happen though, especially since Halo Reach just launched on the MCC. Releasing the Halo Infinite Beta would sink the player population on the MCC pretty quickly, and i’m pretty sure 343 wants to ride the wave of popularity that Reach has going for it right now for as long as possible.

Sure for a bit but seems unlikely plus this late into the year something like would only work for a short time, seriously doubt they want to be checking feedback so close to the holidays when most people are taking long breaks till next year.

Hm. I can acknowledge that. But I want to mention we now have the next Xbox name, size, and a general idea of the potential size of Halo Infinite. Keyword being potential.

So, considering this, would you still say the same?

I feel we really need this beta sooner rather than later. Steam Beta, Windows Store Beta, Xbox Series X Beta, and Xbox One Beta are all going to need to happen. I really don’t feel confortable with the beta launching so close to November. I don’t know a release date. But note Xbox Series X will launch BEFORE Black Friday. It would be disasterous to not do so. PS5 will do the same.

We need something for infinite soon. The render in the game awards was nice tease of halo but wasn’t infinite. If 343 wants meaningful beta correction time. Early spring would be optimal. After that it’ll be harder to fix everything before launch. I’m still holding for the date listed in the discover hope trailer. It’s almost here. And if that was just a coincidence then I guess we really won’t get anything until e3 but I think e3 is too far away to keep us without even a simple trailer teasing a little more

I think a safe bet will be at an ‘Inside Xbox’ event, whenever they want to start public flighting for Infinite.

Otherwise it is simply E3.
Late January at the soonest, July at the latest

I’m not 100% sure on this, but I recall marketing campaigns for previous Halos to go on for months and months to build hype. So I would like to think Infinite would have more trailers coming out early next year. If for nothing more than to build hype for the flighting program, which will need a long time to be effective.

Haha, that’s funny but no. There is absolutely 100% no way we will get any kind of “big trailer” before E3. People keep talking about the testing and sh*t but it’ll be fine.

Since the new Xbox was revealed I wouldn’t be surprised if they show more information on infinite soon(early 2020) because you can’t wait til E3 to market a whole new console. We all know Halo is going to be a big deciding factor for this new Xbox. So they need to show off their launch titles a little bit before E3. Halo needs to be at the forefront of the marketing train and I have good feeling that we will get at least get another trailer before E3 100%. Then gameplay and more story stuff at E3. Excuse my terrible grammar lol. At the end of the day anything could happen. Who knows, we might get a beta early 2020 or absolutely nothing til E3

I am more worried than anything. normally I would not he too concerned either. But this is a console launch. And potentially (yet still not confirmed) the largest budget ever given to a single studio. If it fails, Xbox will be hurting next gen. That is why I am hoping for a release of news earlier. I can do this though. I was a little wrong about The Game Awards. I don’t know what that little snippet was or if it had anything to do with Halo Infinite or if it was more for show of power, but it was not the big reveal. Remember, there is still time. We may get news on December 22nd. That rumor has been circulating since June.

Edit: Date correction from the 20th to the 22nd.

oh yeah, the 22nd thing. I suppose, it still could just be a random date who knows.

I believe the next trailer will be the announcement of the Infinite beta, which will presumably occur sometime in the Spring. If it’s after E3, it’s too close to launch to incorporate feedback in any substantive fashion. This is of course assuming that 343 is actually interested in a Halo 5 style beta.

I doubt we will get anything campaign related until E3 with the slim possibility of a cover story or “game of the month” series by one of the major gaming sites like Gamespot or IGN in April/May to help build hype going into E3.

We got 5 days until 12/22, hope it means we might see or get something like how the date 12.22.19 was shown on the HUD at E3 here.

It’s been a long time since the last community update, and in the last one they said… ‘‘Meanwhile, behind-the-scenes, we’ve continued working hard on Halo Infinite and the Showtime TV series day in and day out. Since we’re not quite ready to chat about those last two just yet, let’s focus on the stuff that will be heading your way sooner!’’

I feel that they MAY have been hinting that there would be news SOON, maybe in the next community update?
I’m hoping for the 22nd

Also in line 5 it says …
LOAD>: VISOR.HUD.PASSIVE.BIOS.BETA

Idk what BETA is supposed to mean with regards to the suit/visor/HUD powering up, but if anyone knows please tell me :grinning:
I am probably reading to much into it lol
