Will 343i put the next 72 hours (Escalation) in Guardians? Are they gonna at least have a cutscene or something in the beginning? Does anyone have word on this? Not all players read the comics, and it makes little sense to have such a major plot element not even be in the actual games.
They should have a cutscene for it,will they? Well u never know with 343

…you say that like in the one and only game they’ve made, they made it where it was all a cluster -Yoink-. Halo 4 for a first game was pretty good campaign and story telling wise, better than bungie at that aspect. They’ve done more with the story and canon. They oversaw a mini series (granted that it wasn’t good as a mint series but that had nothing to do with them) that introduced Locke and two cutscenes that lead up to halo 5. Everyone says that same line when it comes to anything questionable, “You never know with 343.” I’ve seen it for campaign, multiplayer maps, forge, ANYTHING.
Probably not. Halo has always kept major plot points in books rather than games. Hell the first game doesn’t really make sense unless you read TFoR.
Edit: or played Reach I suppose.

But 343 has done an exceptional job with incorporating everything to to a more “user friendly” manor. So I think they will strive to connect thing in more streamline way. So I cantbsee it going either way. They have these character and I think they will use them in game in some form
The way I see it, you should be able to get every detail of the story you need from the games. It would be ridiculous to have to read the books and comics to understand what you’re playing. The books should just add extra depth to the story. That being said, if anything important to Halo 5’s plot is in The Next 72 Hours, it needs to be included in the game.

but this is were i think 343 does a fantastic job. And from what they(343) has been saying they are going to continue to blend them together seamlessly
