I am very scared of this new “perk” system from what I can see ( and what I should be able to beta test) they are either taking away inherent abilities we’ve had in all the halo games or adding things that overpower your character in battle practically killing the balanced player vs player gun,grenade and melee battles of skill with power ups and AA (and I wish dual wielding) peppered on top to make it interesting.
-resupply? They took away our ability to pick up unused grenades( should have used them noob) off of dead Spartans. And gave us a perk for it.
Regen or what ever it is? Everyone’s shield should recharge at the same rate.
Extra ammo? Just no same carry capacity so power weapons are not hogged

Let’s say you and I get into a BR fight. Both of our shields go down and we hide behind objects. I have Regen on so my shields recharge faster. I jump out of hiding and 1 shot you before you can do anything.
How in the world is that balanced???

It’s still stupid. I’m pretty sure the military wouldn’t be wasting millions of dollars on someone who doesn’t know how to pick up a grenade.

What happened to the “LEVEL PLAYING FIELD” that separated Halo from its’ peers and made it more balanced?

I’m scared as well. These features aren’t going anywhere so I hope for playlists without loadouts/perks. IMO bringing gameplay affecting character progression and perks is the worst mistake 343i did to Halo. Probably the only mistake though. Everything else looks awesome, especially campaign and spec ops.
I’ve seen this new one “awareness” let’s you have a radar in your scope (hard scopers rejoice) doesn’t seem too bad let’s see some more of these types of specializations
What happened to being innovative Halo? Let’s ditch the perks we’ve seen in other games and get things that are uniquely “Halo” and that work for how halo works. Don’t just make modifiers from halo 3’s custom game options inspire your next big upgrade to multiplayer ( radar?)
The only one I’m worried about is the regen, the other two I’m perfectly fine with. I’m so sick of grenade spaming and taking away the ability to pick up unused grenades might relieve that problem, besides grenades on the map will be availible. And extra ammo? So I start with 108 extra bullets for my BR instead of 72, ooooooooooooooooooo thats sooooooooooooooo gamebreaking.

In the end 343 are trying to make halo their halo which means for what bungie made to take the side line. They were given full power over reach so they gotta make it a close bet.
All in all the balance issue people keep bringing up is countered with the argument of blame (well its his fault he didn’t use what I used) and then thats countered with the argument of how the game should be (like the older games) but then thats argued with evolution so it can get back on top.
just stop arguing and avoid the threads that do complain.

Resupply is the only perk I think I hate. It seems like a basic freedom to be able to

That’s what I’m saying! They are taking halo things away and giving us regurgitated garbage! Please for the love of god 343i have a beta or start polling because this will upset a lot of fans
None of the specializations really hold any significant superiority over each other. They’re just enough to give a player what they want without clashing too much with any other combination of specializations.

All the specialization do are make the game itself inferior to all other shooters because they clash too much with the Halo multiplayer experience
