The new scoring system good or bad?

Feel free to comment below

I like it. It rewards you for unique plays and skillful kills.

Where do I see this new scoring system of which you speak?

I don’t see much of a difference.

If you are trying to be funny with the font, it didn’t work.

look in any Halo 4 Multiplayer video in the bottom right corner

I’ll repeat what I said in the other thread: Seems pointless but it doesn’t really harm anything. The game should still end at 50 kills, 60 seems too long.

Dont go crazy when i say this but i liked it when it displayed just single kills to 50

I like it, it promotes teamwork.

If you’re a lone wolf and you get a kill, it’s: 5 points for a kill(+5 for a headshot)

If you work together, it’s: 5 points for a kill, 5 for assist, (+5 for a headshot)

exactly, there is absolutely 0 reason to change this.

the thing I found really funny though was it was obviously trying to emulate the CoD scoring system, but in the new Blops MP trailer they use the single digit scoring system like Halo did.

well played Treyarc, well played.

Because a scoring system which promotes teamwork, power weapon control and gunplay is copying a fish./logic

I agree. I never really understood the “Receive 1000 points for 1 kill” thing. I’ve always felt it is just a confidence boost for people so they think they’ve done something super awesome. That being said, it doesn’t harm anything, which is why I’m not really outraged.

Blops 2 is probably going to be a very good game. Calling it right now.

If I’m not mistaken, your score is still only affected by kills, but it is your ordnance meter that fills up based on medals (assists, multi kills, grenade kills, etc.)

I like it, it makes it easier (obvious) to spot when you get an kill or an assist even in the heat of battle, and I would say it’s a much better system when you play splitscreen, since you’ll only get a small part of the screen for yourself, but yet get all “info” where you look.

But you have to admit its what Die-Hard halo fans, like my self, grew up with. I dont want to see it thrown away.

Seems like change for the sake of change.
Or makes you feel cooler, 50 instead of 1.
Personally I don’t really like it, but could live with it.

But why would they need to Change the scoring system from what it was to do the drop pod thing you would still get medals

Thats only in infinity slayer. Regular slayer is different.

I appreciate the fact that game designers are starting to try to find ways to make games more fun for less skilled players. After all some players are inherently a lot better than others, even if you have a proper ranking/skill based match making system (which is definitely needed), so it’s nice for those less skilled players to be able to contribute and be rewarded even if they are frequently getting killed.

I think the only difference is that you get ordnance drops in Infinity Slayer.
