I haven’t heard much chatter about this but I think the new “Ping” feature is a pretty cool.
For those who don’t know, you can now broadcast your location to your teammates in multi-player by holding up on the D-Pad. This is great if you’re hiding with the flag or pinched in a tight spot or need help / pickup etc. Or you’re standing over a power weapon or vehicle you want teammates to come to.
What do you think? Feel free to mass debate.

How does it broadcast? I have yet to see this in game
I tried it, but I wasn’t sure that it worked. It there some sort of indication that you broadcast your location? What do your allies see/hear?
We’ve always had the ability to broadcast to our team when we are needing help. It’s called a Mic.
But seeing as nobody uses them this would be a nice feature. I don’t think i’ve seen it used yet.

You’re right. But a lot of times you have situations like this:
“Sniper on my X”
OR
“Come pick me up by the thingy”
Yes. A really well coordinated team with perfect callouts probably won’t need this. But that’s the exception. Most of us play with randy’s and mic-less homies.
Pinging isn’t all that noticeable. You can’t see anything and all the other players see is your 4 letter tag flashing a few times.
Pinging is worthless. A small icon appears next to your name or callsign and your name or callsign blinks. That’s it.
I could stand on one side of the fortress and have a friend on the other side pinging his tag, and still won’t be visible. The range is almost as funny of a joke as the 80K REQ packs.
Seems pointless. There should be an audio que or something.

I totally forgot that was a thing! I gotta try that out in WZF…mad useful if you suddenly find yourself surrounded by enemies.
