With the recent Halo bulletin, 343 released pictures of the the Halo 4 Master Chief action figure. While they said it does not represent the finished model, I had a question about this new Master Chief. On his back, there is something that resembles a jetpack. While this was clear in the first and only Halo 4 trailer, I want to know if 343 is going to be putting back in Armor Abilities in the game. With AA’s lack of success, this already has me a little worried for the Halo 4, which this Halo has the fate of the series riding on it.
I will bet you the contents of my wallet that armour abilities do not return. As I’ve said before, you don’t spend time and money on a title update to appease millions of squabbling players only to rankle them all over again with the same features in a new game.
343i confirmed after the trailer that what you are seeing on his back are merely zero gravity thrusters, to which the fiction had already described Spartans as having. It is not a jet-pack.
