is it really too much to ask that the map looks reasonably good, because from a modder standpoint, that is very sloppy.
I honestly don’t care what they look like because they are all stupid vehicle maps anyways. I want competitive 4vs4/2vs2 maps like Guardian and Lockout. I thought Haven and Adrift were bad maps but this DCL is making them look pretty good right now…

A few things in this game is sloppy, so a few texture issues isn’t much of a killjoy really…in my opinion.

The graphics on the enviroments on this game are truly horrid.
Pop in textures on main features of the maps.
Large black rectangles that hide parts of the map when you are looking at a distance. (I would post screenshot example buuut no fileshare)
This game isnt in Beta form, it is in Alpha.
They were too busy trying to copy CoD with instant spawn and kill cams (that are also broken) to even polish the game.
Edit: Also, the sky boxes are EXTREMELY boring in this game.

I personally blame Certain Affinity for the poor multiplayer visuals… remember the complaints about the maps they did for Reach?
Theyre just bad at making beautiful enviroments… the water in this game is bad compared to Halo 3 (best water in the series), the pop in textures are just ugly and distracting.
Yes, this is a terrible job 343i did. Essentially they did this: copy & paste.
The developer map editor is like a greater forge, massive models phased with terrain. They get a core outline, and place phased models.
It’s like duct tape on broken pipes, looks semi-good but does the job.
Edit: On this note, it irritated me that they did loads of SpOps on forged maps dedicated to SpOps, developer-accessed only.
