I don’t mean to be a hater as i am super excited about halo 4 coming out, but is it just me or do the medals for Halo 4 look like a 5 year old drew them:
I mean come on halo 2 had better looking medals than those, and zombie kills really only go up to 10 that is pretty bad as well

Agreed… Those medals were just lifeless and terrible.

They aren’t the greatest looking medals but they are definitely not the ugliest medals I have seen. The E3 medals were some of the worst looking ones in a Halo game. I’m glad they said that those were just placeholders.
They look better than the E3 build but still don’t look quite up to par. The thing I personally don’t like the most is how they changed the multi-kill medals and made them black instead of different colours. I just found that change to be completely unnecessary and overall making the medals look less appealing.

Reach made medals look way too important when they seriously weren’t.
Halo 4’s medals look fantastic.

I think they just spent a lot of time on them maybe more than they needed to but i don’t think looking to important has ever been a problem 
That 5 year old has a bright future set ahead of him or her…
Eh- I can’t complain. I prefer Reach’s gritty medals to any of the previous game’s designs but other than that I don’t have an issue w/ how the medals LOOK.
I’m more worried about the announcer “yelling” at me too much. I feel that sprees, multi-kills and generally difficult medals should only be called out. It’d be cool if the announcer announced when you get a medal you specifically rarely revive maybe too- but that’s it. I think calling out every assassination I get is absurd.
I was very excited when I saw the Reach medals versus the Halo 3 medals. It was a nice progression.
The Halo 4 ones are strange to me. They have a solid DESIGN but they are severely lacking DEPTH. Due to the flat design and colors, a lot of them look FAR too similar.
I wish they would have given them some more depth and color variation.

What should’ve been offered is a personal preference to have certain announcements be turned on/off. I don’t wanna hear Assassination every time either =/
As for the looks of the medals. I prefer them over Reach and 3. The more the series progresses, the more “mature” the medals look. They looked cartoony in 2 and 3, then got a visual uphaul in Reach. The ones now look fantastic. I just want to see the final official medals list. I wanna know if Exterminations made it in and if so, what it looks like

I do agree that they look better than the pre-pax build, but I still like Reach’s more.
I just think there are too many, makes me feel like the good ones are less valuable since you get a medal for everything now. /opinion

I agree with OP looks like a 4 year old went nutz and painted our medals.

Agreed. Halo Reach’s medals are 500x better than Halo 4’s.
It is simply amazing the things people find to complain about.
Seriously, you’re not even going to pay much attention to medals whilst you’re playing the game. If you do, you’re likely a crap Halo player anyway.
