The new forge map Pegasus is gold!!

This is the first map I’ve played that realy let Halo feel like Halo!!! The sightlines, the great cover, etc… really made for a wonderful game that, for the first time, has made me greatly enjoy this game. I hope that 343 will continue to make maps of this style and texture. I didn’t really feel that the other maps had a halo-esque look and feel to them, but this map… wow! I enjoyed the game of slayer I played on here so very greatly!

Kudos to 343, please make more maps like this!

I as a member of the forge community know that it is very possible to build great maps in forge, hopefully 343i will be looking out for those maps on youtube and other forums to find and help make sure that the best ones are matchmaking ready and worthy.

Really? The spawns are -Yoink- on that map. I walk forward three feet and I’m getting -Yoinked!- sideways by two BRs.

I agree, although the point of this post is that 343, out of the 5 or so released maps, has finally made one that feels like a Halo map! But I do agree, this is a great example that forge can create wonderful and very unique maps in forge; hopefully, they will be willing to add maps to the rotation that are forged!

I actually have to agree… The map actually feels more like Halo. I enjoy playing on it. But then again each time I have played on it (maybe 6 or 7 times) I always go off on some of the best shooting and killing. I imagine if I was being killed a lot it would be a totally different story… xD Anyway, I love the map.

Se7enz, just saw your post I was replying to the one before yours. I’m sorry to hear that. I for one didn’t experience that problem, and the game was very balanced, we won 50-49.

My point with this post, however, is that this is the most Halo-esque map out of recent maps I’ve played in both 4 and 5.

Forge maps are so cheap to make not saying they can’t be good, but it’s not like a MidShip remake where they have textures and the whole nine yards they have to create. I watched some game play of this level, it looks alright, will need to boot up the beta and give it a try first hand.

Also, ask yourself the question “is this still fun?” after you have played this map numerous times… you might be experiencing the newly wed phase.

I hated the other maps the instant I played them. I absolutely HATE the way most new maps look; so shiny or too dark, and they’re so extremely cluttered. This map was the first clean, well-playing map with both short and long sightlines, and I must say I was VERY pleased with this. It was the only time Halo 5 has felt like Halo to me. It wasn’t because we won or because we did well; I’ve done poorly on other Halo titles before, and none of that matters because the game was still fun and it had that Halo feel to it. I felt that for the first time playing this game.

I hope they get rid of the small sightlines on large maps, and I hope they clean up maps. I don’t want to look at an industrial center full of wires hanging, lights flaring across my screen, and textures so complex that they almost look overdone. I enjoyed how clean the previous games have looked. I hope they continue to do the same with future maps

This map, unlike every other map, actually feels good for me. It looks clean and clear, it doesn’t have the horrible visual clutter that the others have.

Definitely the best map of the beta. I’m impressed with the new forge items. Forge has been dying for more round objects and they clearly added a few. This is the one thing shown in the beta that I think 343 actually killed, in a good way.

Are we playing the same map? I have played about 6 games on the map, haven’t won any of them (not even close, 15 + kill defecit). The space is too open and this is the first map where you can legitimately get sniped off your spawn point because the sightlines are so long. Of all the maps, this one requires the most teamwork. Plus, everything is white and the map doesn’t have any easily identifiable landmarks.

My favorite maps in Halo 5 so far are the Forge maps.
