I was a little excited to hear Chief being in Spartan Ops, but i was disappointed we haven’t seen him yet, but after thinking about it for a second, i think i know why. they want to build the appearance of the Chief up. At the end of Halo 4, it shows Chief taking off his old, beat up, out-of-date armor. Now how much sense does it make to put all that roughed up, old, dilapidated armor back on? I have no doubt that he will be getting brand spanking new armor, probably what he will wear in Halo 5, and show him off at the end of season 1 or 2, or heck maybe season 3.
Now im not sure that i agree with Chief changing so much. From Halo 3 to Halo 4, there was a BIG change. Do you think that Chief completely changing twice in the course of a year or two is good or bad?
theory. it was a suggestion. it makes sense doesnt it? why the hell would they say “welcome back chief, here, go ahead and put your crappy armor back on.”
Early before the game came out, there was a question and answer thing for 343i pertaining to spartan ops. Someone asked about Chief and Spartan Ops and they said he will make an appearance in Spartan Ops. Im not sure if it will be in a mission or the CG episode, but he’s in it.
You may be right, but i’m still hoping on the appearance. i wanna see what he’s gonna look like in Halo 5, and if that means waiting till season 2 or 3, it’s worth the wait.
-flashlight
-Covie translation
-shorter shield recharge waiting time
-enable him to jump higher
-easier to see HUD
Right now, Chief is a joke. I felt more powerful in the trilogy. I had more fun playing as him (to a lesser extent in Halo 2 and 3 but that was fixed with skulls).
youre right. I kind of miss hearing what my prey says, instead of hearing the gargled covenant language. The shield recharge for Chief was also way to slow. I think the jump height was just fine, though.
