i was thinking about it, after reading the section of Aprils gameinformer, there is a part about cortana editing cheifs HUD and such, but there was nothing that could explain the physical changes in his armor. like the armor and am not complaining, though i would like to hear a good reason. i was wondering how you guys feel about his new look.
Chief still has his old armour. It just looks different because of a new studio
Artistic license.
That’s a good reason.
They aren’t bungie, their idea of a futuristic set of power armor is slightly different than bungies.
You can say artistic licensing, but that shoulder is completely different and parts of the armor are just gone. I can deal with it, but it’s pretty noticeable.
The shedding and inexplicable growth of pieces of armor is a little odd.
It’s just artistic liberties. He has the same armour as he did before.

read the books and you’ll know how his armor changed.

Actually, they are Bungie. did you know that MOST of the Bungie employees went over to 343?

No they won’t. You’re probably thinking of Mk.VII armor, Chief is wearing Mk.VI still.

You can count the number of ex-Bungie people on one hand according to Bungie’s Webmaster. That is not MOST of them.
The armor magically changed from 2 to 3 as well. Different engines also factor in the change. Namely the Reach engine’s models make Halo 3 look like play-dough.

Didn’t you know? Bungie only had 8 employees until 5 of them moved to 343 Industries. Now they’re only 5 people cause they hired a couple of guys to fetch them beer and pizza.

the armor didn’t change from 3-2 other than more wear on the armor.

Translation: Incompetent game devs.
I love his new look, it’s so much better.

You can’t compare minor changes to a design overhaul.

Blame Stosh.
so if they explain why it is different people will be OK with it?

If it makes logical sense, yes.
