To me it really does. I just played 2 games of BTB on sandtrap and Valhalla, and I felt like I was playing halo 3 and 4 again. BTB finally has great vehicle encounters and there’s just something about the maps that the halo 2 BR and CE pistol couldn’t give to me. Yah, there’s thrust, ADS, and the maps are forged, but that has little to no effect for me. Does anyone else really feel the nostalgia here?
I don’t know what it is but Valhalla does doesn’t play that well, it seems way too big and the vehicles are even more limited , no wraith scorpions or mantises on the map is a disappointment.
“ADS” is no different than in past Halo games it just actually has an animation this time around and all weapons have one.
I love the new maps. Guillotines new update is great. Scavenger is amazing.
Played 4 games so far and still no new maps
gonna have to wait till tomorrow night to try again I’ve got work in the morning. Pretty miffed, I was hoping to play a new map today! I like the tweaks to Guillotine though

I know that but it’s still considered ADS, at least the BR and carbine.

First off, the lighting was changed to more of a cloudy setting, being a little darker. Spartan laser is removed and the railgun replaces it, however it’s location is next to the stairs of the building where the splaser used to be, kind of out in the open.
OS is added to the map and camo is moved to a different location. Regular rocket launcher is replaced with the spnkr, and the lift next to the rockets has also changed to face the opposite direction towards the rockets. Strongholds has changed with 2 different capture points on the map, and some new sight lines have opened as you walk around some parts of the map.
This is all from my play session of the updated guillotine. Not sure what I missed besides that, but hopefully it informed you.
