And the internet is the most powerful negativity amplifier ever created. If you hold an ant under the comments section of youtube on a sunny day it will fry. Ignore it all, at all times, and forever. Unless it’s constructive negativity. Which also abounds, but which is not entirely useless. Which one is which only you can decide. But since you hang on youtube anyway you should check out Favyn and BDobbinsFTW. People love to hate on them, but they’re both what I would call “constructively critical.”

Too bad that sometimes they offer conflicting videos, and have since found major success with clickbait titles. Favyn, for example, started out as a decent anti-new Halo with fair points and only slight misuse of statistics and facts, and very few instances of false or misleading facts used. Then he realized how many views he got, and started putting videos out like “Why Warzone will be dead in a month” which proceeded to get him wrecked in the comments, mostly by his own subscribers. Look, anti-new Halo has a strong voice. Its just that 9/10 times, people will love to say things like “Halo 3 had good player retention, Halo 4 had bad player retention. Halo 3 didnt have sprint, Halo 4 had sprint, ergo, sprint in Halo is why everyone doesnt play anymore”. While that may be true for quite a few fans, it is in no way an accurate blanket statement for the entire Halo population.

People like him do not see that, but somehow neglect the fact that Halo 5 is probably going to be the first Halo game with proper non-BR starts, with the current AR & Pistol. First Halo game after 6 major Halo titles & 14 years.

But after getting used to Sprint in modern shooters and so far, Halo: CE now seems to be the best for me despite its lack of Sprint. I just find games without agility abilities to be rigid, and as a former anti-Sprint advocate, I now see the wisdom in ensuring Sprint is properly integrated into the Halo franchise.

> I feel like BDobbins has gone down the same road too. Similar story, he started out good and with a good intention. His early Destiny videos were great, but then I stopped watching him out of laziness more than anything, and a few months later I learn he claimed 343i would make Halo 5 bad on purpose if their pre-orders kept up, literally suggesting that pre-orders incentivze developers to make games bad deliberately, which is utter bollocks if you know anything about game design.

> He’s also a raging hypocrite. Whenever he’s doing a video, he plays the game he’s talking about, so when I went on to one of his more recent Destiny videos talking about the Taken King–which hadn’t come out yet–I see him playing DLC maps. Why even play the game at all if he doesn’t support their practices, much less their DLC? And why continue to bash on The Taken King if it literally addresses many of the issues you’ve been criticizing Destiny for this whole time? If he really wanted positive change, he’d support DLC that brings it about. Not everything Taken King did was good, but it certainly did a lot of good for that game, yet you’d never know it listening to him.

You really seem to be really misinformed regarding the intentions of batman. The claim about halo 5 being bad if preorders climbed now seems to be silly, but keep in mind that destiny did this on its launch.
Seeing how you don’t watch his videos, it is kind of expected for people to make the claim of “If you don’t like it, don’t play it” mentality. The thing is, batman wants to come out as credible so he plays only the bare minimum of the content in destiny which in this case is dlc. Not to mention that any of the gameplay he posts while talking about destiny is from a friend of his, Dr. Leatherwood. If you pay attention to the killcams, you’ll notice that most if not all of the gameplay comes from someone other than batman. The reasons why he persists on playing these games is that he wants these games like CoD and destiny to be successful legitimately through its content and not the marketing campaign. He acts as a gaming journalist to spread his opinion regarding the new dlc or game that releases because he knows that many people including my friends will have already preordered the game without any real reviews.
The reason why he bashes The Taken King is that while it addresses many issues present within launch of destiny, it basically shows that bungie and activision admit that destiny was a beta, no more than that. That expansion should’ve been what the game launched with but it was a YEAR late. Even so, people still gobbled up the dlc and batman predicted that if you hold off buying ny future dlc, activision will bundle the game and its dlc within a reduced price. That legendary edition of destiny would have saved you $60 compared to how much year one players spent.
