Ok. Im sure Im not the only one wondering where the needles in needlers and needle rifles come from.
So in this next game it would be nice to wonder into a explosive cavern of pink death. Using it to are advantage to thwart are aggressors. Or maybe we go into it and cortana makes us some sorta gun that shoots them that works like a needle rifle but it has a human twist. WITH FIRE!
I dont know but I think their has to be something that references one of the fans favorite weapons The needler and needle rifle (While the needle rifle isn’t every ones favorite I and many others think its far better then the carbine and I 100% bet if it was in any other halo besides reach it would of been loved).

I’d like to go to a needle growing or mining place. Maybe not make -Yoink- with it but trying to avoid the stuff or shoot when enemies are near it would be fun. Since were not going to Covenant worlds maybe the shield world will have something similar but slightly different?? Blue needle ores or plants??

I love the carbine, the needle rifle wasn’t as much fun. The Essential Visual guide revealed that the raw material used in the crystalline ammunition of the Needler is mined from Suban, one of Sanghelios’ two moons. With this in mind, it is possible that you could find another such mine, but as it is only the raw material, it would not necessarily act the same as the refined, modified needle ammo. It should also be noted that the needler’s structure can not be reversed engineered or duplicated by the humans as the Needler has completely baffled UNSC scientists, having no internal moving parts in its firing mechanism, as revealed in Halsey’s journal.

Maybe, it’s a possibility I suppose, though she’d have to work with others to actually gain the materials and construct the device.

Just a thought. how about a underground mission (in a mine possibly) with pink crystal outgrowings or deposits that when you shoot them create a pink explosion or mist that kills enemies. seems fun to me.

Not all of it. While alot of it is “Upgraded” with Forerunner tech, there are several technologies they use that are expanded from the individual technologies of the races in question. Such as the Brute Shot or the Energy Sword, while they are both made with reverse engineered forerunner tech, they are based on Brute and Elites weapons from before the Covenant.
Needle Weapons were an Elite weapon before the Covenant was even formed, but they expanded on it’s limitations (mostly melee combat such as the Needle Dagger), using Forerunner tech to create guns that fire the needles.
