Just decided to mention a little detail I am not sure if many people are aware of.
While the Needler’s needles have always been seen to ricochet off of walls if not tracking targets, an interesting thing I noticed in some gameplay was that the needles BOUNCED off of the ground to try and continue tracking targets that were at that point off screen. A little strange to look at but interesting. Looks like maybe it’s tracking abilities are leaning back towards Halo CE than the fast moving Halo 4 needles.

Yeah I saw this too, don’t know what I think of it.

Woah … that was neat. I’m interested to see how that plays out more.
But god, the Halo 4 Needler was a beast. It looked great too. I don’t think they needed to change it (okay, it may be a bit OP, lol). This one looks like the Reach Needler a bit, which was also great. But yeah, I’ve never seen a needle continue to track after hitting a surface.
Looks kind of awesome lol… I must try
I think it looks pretty neat. I wanna see some more gameplay with it being used. I haven’t seen a ton of footage so far with it in use.

Halo 4’s needler was great to get kills with, but did have a lot less tracking ability as compared to the Halo CE version, probably due to the speed. The one needler I cannot stand is the one in Halo 2.
From what ive seen halo 5’s needler is just as powerful as halo 4’s but tracks way more
Looks sweet! the only problem i have with the needler though is how fast the ammo runs out haha

Oh god, halo 2’s needler was absolutely awful lol. I can’t use it for crap! I’m pretty good with any other needler though, so I don’t feel so bad
Btw, the needler in this game looks bada**. Love the heavy tracking and increased range. In my opinion, it plays how the needler should (From what I’ve seen of course lol)

Halo 2’s duel wielding broke many weapons that were fine to begin with
Biggest changes
AR became the SMG but useless by itself
M6D became the BR (Became the end all be all)
M6C added to have a realistic pistol (but was Useless )
All other weapons that were single wield that became duel wield were basically made useless. Especially compared to the awesome power the BR is
That’s pretty cool. Subtle things like this remind me that I’m playing Halo, even though I already know I am. It looks very nostalgic for some reason, even though I don’t remember there being tracking for banking shots. Now, if only it had the appearance of H2A needler, one of the sexiest Halo guns I’ve seen really.
The Needler seems to have a greater tracking capability than the Halo 4 counterpart.

As nice as it looks, Halo 2’s Needler is still extremely underwhelming to use x_x
That’s really surprising. I like the change, Halo 4 had a pretty decent needler, but from the looks of it in Halo 5 it may actually be a weapon that requires some thought before going up against it.
