Since the carbine is returning, I had an idea for changing the needle rifle. They could make it a sniper and have like foot long needles firing out. I think it would be sweet to impale someone, then watch them explode. Other than that, I would like to see the SMG return, even though they didn’t show it in the UNSC video

LMAO Thank you. Made me literally LOL. I did love the Needle Rifle. Not happy to see it go but I get my favorite precision weapon, Carbine, back so I’m good.

As much as i want it to return, it probably not going to, but if they make the br and dmr work, why cant they integrate other weapons “twins” into the game?
carbine/needle rifle
beam rifle/focus rifle
brute shot/concussion rifle
And if they could do it with weapons why not vehicles,
revenant/choper
falcon/hornet
If they found away to implement each of these things into the game and still make it balanced, i would so happy.

Who knows, since next week will probably be covenant weapons(then forerunner the week after) maybe we will see it then. I know I would like to see the needle rifle come back.
We’ll know when 343i does an overview of the Covenant weapons. Unfortunately it won’t be next week, as that is specializations. But the week after is a good bet.
I wouldn’t mind seeing the NR again but there are already 4 precision rifles in game,BR,DMR,carbine,and light rifle. Personally I’m not sure what I would like to see return maybe the brute shot. I’d like to see one more automatic for loadouts and another arm added to the 3 we’ve already seen.
No it’s not, it’s apparently being replaced with the Carbine. I really think that this is disappointing. Because to me, the Needle Rifle was far more unique and enjoyable to use. Whereas the Carbine was always just a crappy Battle Riffle sub.

It can work right? So far we’ve only seen a handful of Covenant weapons so I’m expecting some much more when the reveal comes hopefully next week.
And hopefully after they show off the Promethean weapons they’ll do one for vehicles!!!

I don’t see how the br=the Carbine and the dmr=the Needle rifle. The dmr and the br are more similar then the br to carbine or dmr to needle rifle. The dmr and br b both do one shot/shots(br does 3 shots)but the carbine and the needle rifle you can just hold down that trigger and it sprays like crazy. im not saying i don’t want the needle rifle(because i really do want it) i am just saying you shouldn’t compare the br to the carbine and the dmr to the needle rifle.
No Needle Rifle, The Carbine is returning instead. I don’t mind either way, they were pretty similar.
Darn. The Needle Rifle was much more unique than the Carbine, which just shot bullets out. I use it all the time in Invasion, I actually drop the DMR for it as a Spartan as well since the Elites are larger targets and it doesn’t have too much bloom on it, meaning that if you’re aim is good, you can utterly crush the other team. I also like picking it up in AR start gametypes or in any gametype with the TU.
