I’m glad that it seems to actually be in the launch playlist. Let’s be honest though, that bad be used to be WAY overpowered, but it seems they lowered its fire rate a good bit. Do you guys think the new Gauss is overpowered?
The Gauss will always be OP unless they take away a one hit-kill. But then it wouldn’t be a Gauss Hog. Lowering the ROF only delays the inevitable
I absolutely love the gauss hog. Its so much fun.
I feel like it’s way more balanced at least, especially since it’s never been easier to up your arsenal in a Halo game.
I could have sworn I saw it OHK a Banshee… I can’t wait to get on that gunner seat lol.
It should EMP the Hog, like in RVB!
I never thought it was. Its intended to be anti armor but people use it for infantry, I think aim assist should be altogether removed from the turret though.
The Halo 3 Gauss was perfect if you ask me, wish it would behave just like that.
Although, this time around, the Gauss can’t shoot through walls (unlike Reach), so that’s a positive.

Indeed, with heavy aim assist, it is damn near unstoppable if the gunner and driver work together in perfect symbiotic harmony and your team suck, lol.
It might be OP, we’ll have to see.
And thats why we have Rockit lawnchairs, Splazors,…
I mean it’s helped me get 40+ kills in a game in 3 lol. They definitely needed to slow down its rate of fire. At least now they enemy team can just bum rush it lol.
