alright, as you all know I’m a n00b, I’ve said it like 20 times. Just started halo like a month ago blah blah blah. I’ve been reading on the web about all the exclusive “blue flame helmet” and “orange flame helmet” and I get how to get (or how I could have gotten) all of those. I could not however find a valid answer to the 'flame trail" mystery. I have seen it in the game and scourged forums and other sites to find and answer. I saw some stuff about oversheild, but i tried oversheild and double oversheild on a custom map however was not supplied with the flame trail after effect. Can anyone help?

The flame trail is actually a custom game setting, it won’t show on the default gametypes that shipped with the game, you will need to save the gametype from Matchmaking to use it.
The flame trail effect is actually what shows up behind you to signify that you have an Overshield due to the fact Bungie didn’t visually display you having Overshields to others.

That sounds a bit odd, there isn’t an Overshield on that map, are you sure it was the flame trail effect?
yup positive. I thought it was a bit strange, but at the time thought it was a code like you got for the flaming helmet. Now that I know it is an oversheild I don’t know how they got it.

Sounds highly unlikely.
-Flaming Orange Helmet = Limited/Legendary Edition Exclusive
-Blue Flaming Helmet = Unlocked through accessing bungie.net on your iPOD/iPhone/iPAD (which you can no longer do I think, not sure though)
-Flaming trail/feet = Overshield effect, maybe you saw it in power slayer or something (in Action Sack)

yes, about that flaming helmet (non blue) is there anywhere that sells the code for one? I would like to have it just because it looks awesome, but if it requires buying the whole legendary collection for $100+ then I will pass.
I’d say ‘The N00b’ gets enough help in this game.
