I don’t want to sound like a loser here but why isn’t there any signs of a red visor popping up anywhere, I mean Bungie them selves have even said “everything you see in campaighn, there is a path to getting” so why don’t i see Jorges visor color anywhere. Silver, Blue, Gold, and Black are all kinda drab don’t you think.
Jorge has an orange visor. You cannot unlock his armor colors either because his character model is uniquely textured.
Red Visors would be cool, but I’m pretty sure Reach isn’t built to allow “new armor downloads.”
From what I’ve gleaned from my fellow HBOers, each map in the game(campaign, firefight, mulitplayer, forge) all have every available armor variant ‘under’ them. When a player loads that map, it “pulls” those specific armor pieces and colors up and displays your character models.
To add a Red Visor, Bungie or 343i would need to update EVERY existing map in EVERY game mode.
However!
In new DLC maps, the “red visor model” could be included under the maps. This would limit that visor to that map and ruin the point of equipping it in the armory.

Why red when you can go balck? In fact I plan on buying both a MKV helmet and the black visor this week. . . Meh favorite color is blue or black so it doesn’t bother meh. . . In fact why didn’t they just make all the colors of the color wheel available for purchase? That would’ve been the ultimate customization of the visor! Wait, no it’s not, customizable visor colors are LOL!

Yeah, not that many people want to use up 9GB for a DLC armor piece.
Agreed.
You guys are missing my point here. im just saying it would have been nice to have had a wider color visor selection.

I agree. Why limit yourself to just a few things when there is a wide array of possibilities?
Moved to General Discussion.
ya i never understood why they had such a small amount of visor colors. plus knee pads too, what is the point when there is nothing different…
And HYOKIN there is no need to get all tachnical with me. you know what i mean, and just because Jorge is a Spartan II doesnt mean that everyone else cant get what he has, i mean you can unlock his chest peice cant you.
It’s a shame that they don’t have Red visor, or like said, The whole texture of Jorge
I like Jorge, he’s the strongest and ha the most noble death (well, apart from 6)

There’s rumors the new Map Pack will have new Armor DLCs, so hopefully those pics people have been posting aren’t just illusions! I’ve been hoping for a Red Visor since the game came out, I even though it shipped with it.
I feel Bungie should have added a color palette instead of just set colors that they chose… there would be a lot more variety if they included that option. I guess it’s too late now though, maybe in future Halo games.
Not too long ago we actually ran into a guy with Jorge’s visor. We double checked to make sure were weren’t just seeing things.
He was obviously a modder, but that shows that it’s definitely possible.
Well they might come out with an update

To answer your comment, Halo Reach is barely (if at all) supported anymore. So chances of an update to add anything into the game isn’t likely.
