It is a very biased system, especially since all of my friends mute everyone when they join a game because they don’t want to hear them. Is it supposed to be my fault that I get muted for no reason when it is actually the user muting me because they routinely mute everyone?
This is such a no brainer… terrible idea that needs to go (or at the least a reasonable expiration period).
Anyone who has played any amount of MLG is mute banned since everyone mutes the other team.
There has to be a system to punish players like this, who coincidentally is playing MLG. While the system is not perfect, my understanding is that the players in MLG do not have to mute players the way they do and could use a different mute option that result in mute bans for their fellow players, but they dont.
My suggestion is a campaign to inform MLG players of this option so as not to punish players that dont deserve it.

True, there definitely needs to be an implemented system that doesn’t punish people playing in the MLG playlist, such as I.
sometimes the systems we have are not perfect. On my xbox live rep I have a mark as trashtalking, but I only play in a party with close friends or don’t use a mic at all.

‘Campaigns’ are started all the time and they never happen or work out.
No one would listen, it’s an online gaming community, not a democracy.
But this is a stupid rule and temporarily mute all option would be better.

Could MLG remove the voice proximity from the settings of their game type? Because that is the reason given by most for the unjustified muting of players, that would only leave those like the raging child in the video I posted who get muted for being a jerk.

Theres a simple option to change your voice settings to Team & Party only. Youd only have to do it once, instead of muting everyone, every game.
Seems like most people who play MLG dont know or dont care about this though, theyre happy muting and getting muted. Ive even seen the oh so knowledgeable “pros” doing the mass muting the couple of times ive watched one of their streams.
Just another reason i dont play MLG in general.

Mute ban is amazing.
Mlg tards are just morons. Turn on team and party chat only.
If someone is on mute ban theres usually a reason why.

I don’t know about a system, but I have the perfect torture punishment: make them only have the option to play forge and they have one item: cones. Let them rage all they want, for every other Yoink word, they gain an additional minute of ban time.
Yeah…the mute ban isn’t a problem at all except in MLG, and just play MLG for an hour or two and you’ll get mute banned.
Seriously, that is just so…limited! There is an option in the audio section to mute the other team, it’s in there so this doesn’t happen, but MLG idiots don’t care and mute everyone.
