The Multiplayer maps have lost their Spark

Short version ; the maps should be more interactive eg press a button active something and you should be able to kill or be killed by the enviorment

In my opinion the multiplayer maps in reach aren’t the best, they are not as interactive as past Multiplayer maps in the other games of the series.

It may just be me, but i really liked the maps were you could press a button to open a new route.
You can find it in a number of maps in Halo 2 and 3 .

Containment; you could open the main gates in the bases.
Relic; you could were able to active a teleportor.
Zanzibar/ Last Resort; you were able to lower the blockade and “the brigde thing” in front of the wheel
High Ground; you’re able to open the gate.
Standoff; you were able to open the windows and extra enterence.
Longshore; you were able to active a bridge .

another thing missing for the new maps are they don’t feel alive, sure they have cool sky box, but they’re as interesting as the old maps , because you were able to kill people using the parts of the envoirment

Waterworks; You can shoot down the stalactites on the ceiling of the level. killing someone under it
Terminal; the train could kill you.
Containment; had those large mines.
Snowbound; had the turrets.
Sandtrap; had the mine field
Sandbox; had the tower, that shot the beams

i just hope certain infinty/ 343i makes at less one of the future maps , with these freatures.
chances of that happening are very lower xD.

Interactive maps are awesome, and this game needs more of them.

Good call!

I agree

I can support this 100%.

Honestly, It’s not even the interactive part, the maps just suck…

I’d like the maps to have more than 1 gimmick in the maps they have them in.

I’d like a map with 2 energy bridges that can be controlled from remote switches. Infantry can cross the gap quite easily but vehicles can’t until the bridges are activated. Whether they are on a timer or need to be switched again is up to playtesting (or the option to vary), it doesn’t matter cause I want the bridges to be able to deactivate with crossing players still on it… Most definitely inspired from Halo Wars. And that’s just the bridges in the middle.

On that same map, a tunnel into each base should have a timed door that can let players in and out quickly but for only a few moments. Something similar to Longshore’s gate and Standoff’s doors.

Heck, what about a crane and boom that can carry larger vehicles across sections that pivots back and forth? Something like being able to make Headlong’s suspended bridge chunk move in and out of usable positions.

For me, I’d like the interactive stuff to last longer than 1 time uses and affect the playing field more. They were a great start in Halo2 but I think Halo3 could have gone further. As far as Reach goes, I’d a map or two added in.

I like a lot of these ideas. I think Invasion would benefit the most from maps like these. I think Invasion needs these kind of maps to truly make the game type shine.

I would like to see a map where the is a very good camping area like the powerhouse on powerhouse and on the other side of the map there is a button of sorts that when you press it, it kills everything inside said camping area.

We need a button on swordbase that tosses fusion coils into the yellow lift.

See, I was thinking the only place you really see this happening already is KIND OF in Invasion.

I would like to see it applied to objective and even slayer maps.

Slightly off topic, but some community cartographers seem so be doing stuff like THIS which gives the interactive feeling.

I would love to see more!

you got just that! SCRIPTED OBJECTS!!!

I am getting sick of them too. I wish they would give us the maps for the 4 year old game
