After playing some CE today, I noticed one thing that I definitely liked more than in later Halos; the Multiplayer Announcer. Not only did the CE one seem a lot more into it, but he was a lot clearer too. And I think that 343I should definitely try to imitate that in Halo 4.
For example, instead of “Flag Taken/Stolen” the Announcer actually says “Red/Blue Team has the Flag!”. Some things I thought would be improved by this:
“Red/Blue Team has the Bomb!” (Neutral Bomb)
“Red/Blue Team has the Ball!” (Oddball)
“Red/Blue Team is in the Lead!” (After taking the lead in a gametype)
Etc.
Also, perhaps an option to adjust our Announcer’s VA would be nice; nothing fancy, but a male/female option wouldn’t be too hard, would it?

Thriller and Perfection are also very enthusiastic.

Anyone think Sean Connery wouldn’t mind doing one more gig? I think Stietzer will be around for 4. VAs aren’t as exclusive as art or sound directors are.
Originally I thought those firefight voices you can buy would change the Multiplayer announcer, but sadley it doesn’t. I’m not even sure if I like that idea lol
Just make it sound more dark and serious… Like Halo CE
Reach was supposed to be this gloomy game about our heros dying and all that ish. then they add in the most childish looking medals like Revenge and have the announcer casually say “double kill” “killing spree”
Also it would be tight to have him say more stuff… just ideas here, but maybe
count down the last ten seconds of a game
say steak dinner if you beat them by 20
say “close call”
