When the multiplayer ban was implemented into mcc to stop quitters and make them less frequent I thought it was a really good idea because it was annoying when people left matches a lot.
After playing through so many matches with this temp ban in place it literally hasn’t stopped quitters from leaving.
People still leave the same amount of times before the ban came into place and when the matches become uneven in 2v4 or 1v4 and I leave I get a mp ban and when I check those who left before me some of them are already in another mp match while I have to sit and wait for my temp ban to be over to play again because of them leaving.
This temp ban needs to be fixed by being removed bc it literally has no effect on quitters in mcc.

Umm it has an effect…but removing it would be just as bad. Removing would just make the game unbearable. Game already has long wait times but to ‘reward’ players by giving them no penalty for quitting would be ridiculous. Sadly quitters/afk people have existed for years and these punishments are meant to help decrease the chances of them showing up…no solution is perfect but removing the punishments would be like 343i saying they’ve given up on the game.
Remove the temp ban for single disconnects - enforce long term bans for repeat behavior.
If someone quits once every few days, nobody should care. If someone quites 5-10 times a day every day for a week 343 should be able to detect it and ban them.

It needs more of an overhaul to be honest; MCC is known to have a few crashes here and there so maybe no penalty for the first or second time would be good but repeats should be a more harsh punishment since quitters shouldn’t be encouraged especially if a team is relying on someone to help in a fight

I know they’ve been around for years I’ve experience them every day but the temp ban doesn’t make them less frequent, ppl still leave they don’t care about the risk of the temp mp ban.
It has no effect on quitters and the temp ban only seems to work more on people who crash or the people who leave games when it becomes a 2v4 or 1v4.
Whats the point of having this mp temp ban if it doesn’t do its job?
Umm the bans aren’t meant to wipe all afk/quitters but about trying to decrease the amount…pretty certain those odds would increase a lot more if they were allowed to continue playing.
Heck I’ve been in games where players afk all the way through then I would find them in the next game after while with quitters as annoying as it might be…I’d rather have some restrictions then be forced to play another game with the same player who might have quit earlier. Though with how bad the wait times are for MCC…it kind of already feels like everyone get’s punished regardless of quitting or not.
