The most satisfying wins are the ones you give up on

Had an absolutely fantastic game of oddball tonight on Recharge.

First round I started 0-4 but with a good 30 second ball hold, just getting blown out by the enemy team. To a man they were all higher skill in terms of gunplay (crossmap pistol headshots before I can even draw a bead). The first round is a slog and we lose 100-79 but it lasts waaaay longer than it needs to 'cos the enemy team all seem intent on just piling on the kills rather than holding the ball. By the end of the round i must be -15 kd but with the majority of my team’s hold time.

Round two starts and I’m pretty much set for them to just slaughter us again, but… manage to beat them to the ball spawn and rack up 30+ points before they rally and kick us out of Pipes with the sword. They then manage a 50+ point hold and I’m pretty sure it’s curtains.

But then… Sword spawn, killing spree, while teammates juggle the ball… and somehow we hold for the round win.

Round 3… absolutely clean sweep off spawn. Me and one teammate clear three of them off the OS spawn while two teammates grab the ball for a 30 point hold. Then I just enter the zone… can’t miss a shot, BR headshots non stop, grab the ball from a fallenteammate, pound out the assists.

We go on to win. I finish -7 kd, but positive KDA and over 3 minutes of ball time. One teammate was positive KD, while the entire enemy team were positive but none more than 45s of ball time

Snatching a win from the jaws of defeat is an unbelievable feeling. That sounds like a great comeback, well played.

Best wins for me are the ones were both teams are doing exceptionally well and you barely push forward for the win.
