In my opinion the hardest halo game is halo 2.

I found ce hard

Halo 3 odst only because you didn’t have a shield so you had to be more careful and what not

IMO 2 > CE > Reach > 3 > 4 > ODST

I think CE because even on easy the difficulty would be equivalent to another game on normal

Halo 2 Legendary will always stake claim as the most difficult due to the fact that if you played co-op, and you or your partner died, you restarted the checkpoint.

Having replayed them all in the MCC (bar ODST, to be fair), I would say Halo 2. I enjoyed it though, nonetheless.
