I mean… cod introduced great features in an fps, and halo adopted some of them. It doesn’t make it any less halo or anymore cod, it just makes it better, except for kill cams. They’re pointless

Can somebody explain to me what’s great in the ranking system that directly affects the gameplay? I mean unlocking weapons, grenades, AAs, perks, specializations… What happened to equality?
343i should take a look at Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3. These games have horrendous MP. Almost everything that fans liked about them was taken away in favor of MMS (modern multiplayer shooter) elements. It attracted some new people for a while but the damage for the core fanbase was already made. That’ll happen if 343i tries to cater to CoD players exclusively. Halo 4’s changes weren’t that drastic but it’s going the wrong direction IMO.

I hate COD and love Halo and now hate this Call Of Halo.
COD is vantages and any for fix it (perks) and broke game balance, skill isnt most important than a good net in COD.
For me COD introduced bad things in FPS. Massive camping, Ratio Rats, ridiculous quickscopers, stupids air strikes… And now Halo essence is dead.
For me the best player of the game no need vantages, is the best.

- MANY people who played the game do feel like they’re playing CoD. I’ve seen a plenty. I have never played CoD so I can’t tell if I’d feel that way as well.

I’ve played 3 cod games and 3 halo games, halo being my main game.
Halo 4 feels nothing like Cod. Anyone who says otherwise either has no idea what they’re saying or no idea what they’re supposed to be doing in the game.
While halo 4 does have some aspects of cod in it, I don’t think its all bad except for a few minor things.
But I think in the later halo games there will either be more or less cod elements in them.
I played Halo because of 2 things. 1) I like science fiction. 2) I hated CoD.
Halo 4 has added CoD elements such as custom loadouts. I wouldn’t mind them if there was a classic gametype but there isn’t. So to me, Halo 4 is my least favourite Halo, and if this is the direction the series is going then I’m not going to buy anymore Halo’s. If I wanted a game with loadouts, sprint, quick kill times, no need for power weapons, I’d play CoD. I played Halo because it didn’t have these things. It was a simple formula, everyone spawns with the same weapons and fights over power weapons. In Halo 4 I tend to find myself only picking up Rockets or Sniper. No other power weapon is worth the trouble.
Too bad they didn’t take all the good things from Battlefield 3. God knows BTB could use a Firestorm Map and some Tanks that actually can MOOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE!!!
Too bad call of duty was not the first game with all these features… people should maybe do some research.

I would expect a national day of astonishment on how many gamers died from choking on hate filled bile if 343 introduced the ability to go prone while playing Halo.

Borderlands 2 : 2 (best shooter, best multiplayer)

How many of the exact same topic are you going to post? You would thing that, because you couldn’t get very many people to agree with you the first hundred times, you’d just give up and accept that most people don’t feel the same way about the direction of the series that you do.
The funny thing is…
I never said Halo 4 was more like CoD.
I said the more halo is like CoD.
But people automaticly asume the Halo is CoD version… as if they are prepared to defend against it. Just the fact people are so qwick to jump on the band wagon without knowing were its headed says alot.
It’s funny because Halo 4 won ign’s people’s choice award and even CoD fanboys were admitting Halo 4 was better than CoD.
And then went on to win awards in spike’s VGA.
and next week Halo 4 probably wont break 99,000 total people. I geuss this means Halo is just a better game.

Oh, you mean all these people that can’t tell aesthetics from mechanics. I’m gonna let you in on hard truth that people seem to forget these days. Some peoples opinions are better than others. See academia if you doubt this.
