The moment I see Forge items, materials, maps or anything up for sale I am officially done with the Halo IP

The recent Sean W video made it sound as though Forge will release this year ‘content complete’ as in they do not want any extra negative press surrounding the release. However at some point next year they may end up selling content for Forge as Microsoft needs to see that Halo Infinite can continue to generate a profit and support its own continued development cost.
(They could already be deciding what content to hold back for sale later on.)

Listen, I don’t buy Call of Duty, Battlefield or a list of other known popular IP like Assassins Creed.
My preferred shooters are Wolfenstein, DOOM, Shadow Warrior and Halo.

However I am not going to sit by and be dealt absolutely no support this past year for Halo Infinite only to then be told we need to create our own content and pay 343i for the privilege.

I was going to go into more detail about how I’m one of a few thousand left supporting the game and etc. but it’s not worth it. The point is if you decide to charge for materials so that users can create content FOR YOU, I’m done. The next time you blow your chance at the ‘broader audience’ you can count on being one fan short of keeping your studio held up and this IP an active userbase.
